But the Turks had taken their G.I. folding shoves and sharpened the edges of them which was more effective than using a bayonet or their rifles as clubs.

Arrival in the Ottoman Empire In those days, the only country that welcomed these immigrants, despite their different religion, ethnicity, culture, and language, was the Ottoman Empire. Sultan Bayezid II issued a decree to all provincial governors, stating: "Not only should the Spanish Jews not be turned away, but they should be received with complete sincerity. Those who mistreat the immigrants or cause the slightest harm to them will be punished by death..." (1) Some of those who left Spain initially settled in neighboring Portugal. However, less than four years later, when King Manuel of Portugal, who had married a Spanish princess, signed a decree on December 5, 1496, stating, "...Jews and Muslims must leave the country within ten months...", the majority of Jews who left Portugal once again came to the Ottoman Empire and chose it as their new homeland. Apart from those who fell into the hands of Mediterranean pirates and lost their lives, and those who settled on the North African shores of Morocco and in Protestant Holland due to their opposition to Catholics, the vast majority of Jews who left the Iberian Peninsula within five years found a new homeland in Ottoman lands. In 1537, after falling under Papal control, those expelled from Apulia, and those expelled by Ferdinand from Bohemia in 1542, and those who fled Russia during the pogroms of 1881, 1891, 1897, 1903, and the Bolshevik revolution in 1907, settled in Edirne, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, and other cities of the country. In March 1556, Suleiman the Magnificent sent a letter to Pope Paul IV, who had imposed restrictions on Jewish life through a series of decrees upon becoming Pope, demanding the immediate release of the Ancona Marranos, whom he declared as Ottoman subjects. The Pope had no choice but to comply with the request of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, the superpower of the time. After Sultan Suleiman completely destroyed the Hungarian army at the Battle of Mohács (1526) and besieged Buda, a delegation led by Jozef ben Salomon Eskenazi (Yosef ben Slomo) met Suleiman at Foldvar, unconditionally handing over the keys to Buda Castle and the city. In return, Suleiman issued a decree exempting Salomon Eskenazi, known in history as the "German's son", and his family and descendants from all taxes. This decree was renewed by subsequent sultans. (2) (1) Abraham Danon, Yossef Daath magazine (Edirne, 1888) issue 4 (2) The renewal decree dated 1155 (1742) is on display in our museum.

Ataturk is a Turk. As the name suggests, Atatürk means the father or elder of the Turks. And more Turkish than most Turks, because his family and father, Reşad Bey, was one of the "Turkmen" families settled in Thessaloniki by the order of the Ottoman Government, and one of these families was the "Manço" family, which had a famous singer. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk followed many Turkist policies and popularized Turkish. and changed the Latin alphabet from the beginning to Turkish so that Turks could use it easily. Please focus on your own culture and live your own culture instead of stealing the histories, historical people and cultural historical riches of the Turks.
