in simple words!!!! newton's first law says when no external force is there on abody then velocity remains same through out the journey so velocity is aconstant of motion.. see also that p=m × v will also same throughout the journey.. so momentum is also a constant of motion called conservation of linear momentum... we also know that planets around sun have same angular momentum at each time while revolving.so it is a constant of motion and called conservation of angular momentum..

also for a body falling under gravity..velocity changes(not cnst of motion) so momentum is also changing(not const of motion) but in this motion total energy(k.e +p.e) doesnt change (so its a constant of motion) similarly in this motion acceleration is same 9.8 (so cont of motion) thus any physical quantity can be checked out and all these changing are seen with respect to time
