Seriously, I hate Maxx C. I never ran it because I hated it and UR cost but i had extra and folded. I play a different game now. Granted, their deck was also insane and I would have 100% lost without it.

Maybe if they don’t want their opponents having 20 cards in hand, they shouldn’t summon 20 times

Absolute glazer that relies on maxx c. Video is a but exaggerated but point is that you either draw the out to maxx c, stop your turn completely, or finish with a not so great end board than you usually would and hope they don’t draw anything good from the maxx c. 2 out of 3 options legit gives a huge advantage to the other person

@@HxHKite747 I will never understand why people see maxx c, then do full combo to set up 3 negates. 3 negates but you allow your opponent like 12 more cards. Smart move is to do 2-3 summons that have follow up.

@@runerdude141I get what you're saying but that's not the main issue why Maxx C is considered broken by most. The main issue is that it gives card advantage most of the time and forces players to run specific cards in the main deck just to beat it. It's easy to say "just summon 2-3 times with follow up" but you don't always have follow up and it still results in the opponent getting like 2-3 cards off of just using one card, where they can draw cards that can stop you're follow up. Obviously there are decks that can play around or into Maxx C well, but for the majority of decks doing so is disadvantageous. If pot of greed is banned an unconditional draw 2 cards, then Maxx C should be limited or banned for its effects.

@@HxHKite747 I would actually be ok with greed coming back to 1. But as for maxx c, I GET IT, I do. However I also think it’s the format that makes it powerful. Think of maxx c back under goat format. The early yugioh time. (Yes I get we aren’t there anymore, but play along). Think back to a move like, I normal summon this, send this to grave, search. Set 3, pass. If your opponent played maxx c during your standby, all they did was throw a card away for no reason. But now the format is “SS 26x and set up 8 interruptions”, at that point, it almost feels necessary. (Almost…)
