I remember whenever when my team in Corpus (miller ) we matched up against our rival veterans on Black Friday, which would be the third or fourth round of the playoffs literally half of corpus was there we play in the stadium that can seat up to 5000 people they had to add extra seats and bleachers on the side of the field to where it can hold up to extra 2000 people it was said that they sold over for 10,000 that was the most pack. our stadium has ever been in years like literally, I remember nobody was sitting for like the entire game, because there was just no room

My roommate at UT moved from California and said he had never seen so many Junior Colleges with football stadiums in one small area… I then let him know those were high school stadiums and they weren’t really that big compared to some, he then thought logically well they must be an amazing high school team to have a stadium like that…. I quickly googled the high school we were driving by and found out they were not good… 3A no state championships and were 1-5 that season from my quick research… He then just quietly said “I…. I dont think i will ever fully understand Texas..” and then just sat quiet for the next 15 minutes until we got home…. and honestly that was the first time i had ever realized how insane the stadiums are😂

I'm in San antonio, and we have 4 different school districts here. And between those 4 school districts, they have a total of 6 major football stadiums for high school games. So Friday night lights are always lit af. Packed parking lots, packed stadiums.

6A is the highest in New Mexico too, and games against texas teams were crazy (we were right on the borders, 20 min from tex, 30 min from OG Mexico). Highschool games would have to use the college stadium and would have more fans in the crowd every time.

We started chatting, and he mentioned that his family had just moved to Allen from Michigan. We had 30k seats at my high school stadium in East Texas and my middle school had 5k seats. It was the high school stadium back in the 60's and 70's and they took down most of the stands to move to the end zones of the new stadium. I played middle school ball on a field much nicer than many high schools in smaller towns.
