Well, if Ste and James don't work out, him and John Paul could give it another go since the reason they didn't work out before was because Ste was always the 'screw-up' and didn't feel like he could ever be good enough for John Paul 'the saint'. Now they have more in common: abusive ex, knows what it feels like to have their children/child taken away from them, what it feels like to be abandoned by family and have nowhere else to turn, addiction, going to prison... Although, I love the way Kieron's having fun with Ste at the moment...the relationship between him and James is cute, fun and bonkers. Didn't care for it much before but it's growing on me and it's fun to watch. And maybe it's because I'm rewatching Stendan for the umpteenth time and I'm having a delusional moment, but I feel like James comes the closest to Brendan, even if Brendan and James appear to be on opposite sides of the spectrum on the surface. They have the whole 'suited and booted' thing in common - 'Image is everything - Brendan', he's the only one of Ste's boyfriends since to have facial hair (haha), tall, dark (psychotic, manipulative, deeply broken at the core, struggles with people getting close to him, fucked up father, difficulty with emotions, narcissistic, withdrawn but wants love and wants to be better, loves his family even), appearance of wealth and 'having it all together' but allowing Ste to see them when they don't, when they're vulnerable. I think a part of that is why Ste can't really put his finger on it, but he can't stay away from James - 'Everytime I'm around you, I just want to umph...' Maybe not on a conscious level, but subconscious level, he's familiar to him in that way, even if James and Brendan really are two worlds apart at first glance. And it's like getting a second chance without all the beatings and violence. Because Ste is dark and deeply wounded at his core as well and I think when he's with someone who can understand that darkness, it makes them irresistible to him. They're like two bonded souls. James and Ste also have a lot in common with their physically abusive fathers, losing their mothers, experiencing homelessness, addiction, having their families turn their backs on them as well, recovering from addiction...Plus James is self aware to some extent, he knows who he is and owns it. Ste has overcome alot and found himself. He knows is worth and who he is at the moment as well, which makes them strong together, even if they are opposites. So whichever way it goes, and whoever Ste ends up with, it'll be amazing. If Ste and James become one of the show's long standing couples like Frankie and Jack, I wouldn't be surprised. They have fun banter and an old married couple type of vibe😄. But if they break up, I'd love to see what happens next for the characters.

Well I would like to see a happy wedding in Hollyoaks. But I don't think we're going to get one. I think Juliet will die during the wedding reception as she's dancing with James and then after that Peri will show everyone including James the video message Juliet did. James is going to snap. And Ste might too. Because he treated Juliet like family he was there at the doctors appointment when she first got diagnosis. And the being the fact that his mom had cancer. He would be good support for James and Donna Marie. Even though the end of the episode was sad. It was good.
