This is my first experience attempting to correct floating exposure from the GoPro. I'm editing in Davinci Resolve 17.
I was able to regain some of the lost dynamic range in the clouds, which were almost entirely blown-out. But since I used an automated brightness/color correction through a Power Window, it gave some wonky white-balance problems on the cloud mid-tones and the ground colors.
This was an experiment to automatically balance the exposure, and I think it went quite well for a first attempt. It no longer flickers annoyingly quite as much as it did before.
Shot on GoPro Hero 7 Black, time-lapse at 1s intervals.
46,414 frames at 60fps was around 12 minutes long.
This is played back at 10X that speed, and I found a nice little piano from the Katamari Damacy soundtrack to accompany it.
Thanks for watching!
