In singapore we have no tolerance for drug dealers. Its death penalty for them. This is why my country is clean n homelessness is almost unseen of. We do have but they are given shelters n support grp . I am glad we stood firm in our harsh punishment against drugs

I lived in a third world country and have never seen our streets like that. I have recently loss my brother through a natural cause (aneurysm) and it came as a shock to all of us as he isn’t sick at all, it was devastating. Life is fleeting like that and can just be taken in an instant. Hopefully these people can turn their life around for the better. Praying for all of them struggling. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Can’t believe the scale off homelessness in Vancouver, In my early 20s spent a few years there in the mid eighties, and when I wasn’t in a detox, rehab, halfway house, or Jail, Welfare helped me out with a hotel on Granville street, I think it was called Les Sands, I was mostly in Alcohol oblivion, all I wanted to do was drink,i remember homelessness, but nothing like this. 58 now an sober for many years, Thank God 👏

Wow, what a huge change from Light to Darkness. I'm from California, in 1986 my family and I attended the Vancouver Expo '86 and I fell in love right away because it is too safe where children can play outside without parental supervision. I dreamed of moving to Vancouver in particular 'cause we have relatives there who then move to SF Bay Area so I did not pursue my plan. I was shocked to see the beautiful, safe Vancouver, Canada is now similar to Los Angeles and San Francisco. But there is still hope if those irresponsible Leaders be kicked out of their power. But it sure needs our prayers for Divine Intervention.

This was a real eye-opener! I thought that Seattle, Portland, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Chula Vista, all down the USA West Coast, not to mention Chicago and the Atlantic Coast, was bad enough! This, in Vancouver, Canada, was/is even worse than I imagined! Homelessness, mental health issues and drugs! Most of these folks were/are Colonial/European Immigrants/Settlers in the past, hoping for a better/different life... and people still want to immigrate/move to the USA and Canada! The mind boggles! A lost cause! I thank my lucky stars that I was born an Ancient Briton/Anglo-Saxon, in 1934, and live a happy life in England, where I will stay! I see no end to all this misery abroad!

Thank you. Was looking for my brother I heard he went homeless. Going broke is easy. I lost the ability to live indoors when I got sick in BC, but I hoped a bus to less expensive Quebec. Born in North Vancouver My father lived on skid row on the 1990s but no one slept on the sidewalks. I wish BC well, but they have been taken over by demons. Families who allow their loved ones to live on the streets deserve eternal hell. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

You will find out at death when you see all in 360 degree vision that you're drunks your addicts and your homeless are all at direct result of greedy cold hearted cartoons who make their loved ones feel like crap. My whole life I was demonized by the judge. Then I died and saw all. Nothing is hidden, and no one will save the soul from his own horror show. I saw my righteous family, and they are as fake as everybody you see on tv. People learned to lie and manipulate without thinking. Hollywood was a soul harvest. Made folks think life and love was all about having as many partners as possible and stepfamilies.. God is great. Good luck.

@@GoodmanTheatre-op5ry That is true, I could have gone way more in depth about why I believe, looking at the evidence and the outcomes, that the policy of "harmreduction" and enablement that the NDP usually advocate for coupled with their tendency to put responsibility for once own misfortune on circumstances beyond your control instead of standing up straight and refusing to be a part of the victimhood cult, but that would be a lot of writing. So I condensed it to a couple of simple words that say it all. Imo, of course.

There seems a rising trend in the numbers of homeless people among the five eyes countries as well as the EU. It seems all these countries follow the same politics as the US and it's leading all these countries down the path of ruins. At this rate, all these Western countries will become the slums of the planet whilst living standards in non-Western countries are improving at a steady pace.

Addiction, mental illness, hopelessness. My solution is, take over a closed state/federal prison (just for the confined controlled area) and provide the necessary treatment and care until they can integrate back into the community. They MUST be removed from the city streets as it's destroying the rest of functioning society. It’s interfering with normal commerce, it’s causing/contributing to crime/violence and it’s a health issue. Nothing is being done, that is insane.

It's not just Vancouver. The problem is less visible in other cities, but it's there. And sometimes our mayors just make it "invisible" by forcing the homeless out of our downtown areas, as has happened in Kitchener (Ontario) this year. The fact that we don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist. Canada should be ashamed of letting tens of thousands of people go homeless. Worse yet, a recent poll showed that 25% of us think the homeless and the unemployed should avail themselves of the Medically Assisted Suicide program we now have. What kind of a people have we become?!
