I can tell you, your plot looks a lot more picturesque than my garden... I even noted in my last video (in the description), mine are the video's you want to watch if you want to feel better about your garden. It's all looking lovely and good job catching the slugs on the alliums.

Great plot update Mark! Drone footage was pretty on point too! Good to see the asparagus survived. Like you I thought slugs weren't that keen on alliums but will be keeping a closer eye 😬🌱

Thanks Joe.👍🌱👍 I'm hoping now that the weather is on the up I'll be able to get the drone out more often. Quick visit to the plot today and please to report the slugs have left the alliums along. They've moved onto the lettuce instead 😂😂😂

Thanks. It was nice to have some decent weather for a change to get the drone out the bag. Hopefully more to come in the future. With a bit of luck the grand eviction and nematode combination will keep on top of the slug onslaught this year 👍🌱👍

I thought my onions were starting to get kinks like onion root fly had attacked them already but on closer inspection slug damaged had caused it, happy to see slug trails for a change lol

I'd always thought the onions were pretty safe from slugs but seems not. Glad to hear it wasn't root fly for you. That would have been a nightmare to deal with 👍🌱👍

Last year was the first year the slugs took an interest in my onions. Seems like they love them now. I was surprised.

I've always thought the onions were pretty safe from the slugs but looks like they've taken a bit of a fancy to them this year. They ever seem to touch the weed though!!! Hoping the combination of evicting them and the nematodes will keep on top of the problem this year 👍🌱👍

Love it mate. I’m just about to get my new allotment plot sorted. Sadly being up in the Scottish Highlands we have a shorter season and I have only recently taken it on. Still pulling out old beds and weeds and waiting for new raised beds to arrive so not a darn thing started or planted yet. Pretty much going to miss the whole season but it’s cool. Next year will be good 👍🏼

Why wont slugs stay in the compost bin? I mean, all that grub, lovely rotting veggie bits, but no they have to go walkabout (slimeabout?) and eat the stuff I wanna eat! I warn you slugs I will salt you if you misbehave!❤😂

I've got all those lovely weeds in the pea bed just waiting for the slugs to eat them 😂 I'm hoping the combination of nematodes and the mass eviction will help keep on top of them throughout the season 👍🌱👍

Oh nasty sluga, I didn't know they eat onions. It looks like they were only interested in the tops so I am wondering if that is one of the reasons why some people trim off the tops before planting out.

I always thought the onions were safe from the slugs! Guess its just one more thing to keep on top of 😊 Hoping the combination of nematodes and the mass eviction helps keep on top of them for the season 👍🌱👍

Is this your home? This looks like a garden neighborhood lol what am I looking at!?
@marksallotmentplot6 ай бұрын
In the UK these are called allotments. I think over the pond they might get called community garden. Its a bit piece of land parcelled up into plots which people can take on to grow fruit/veg/flowers for non commercial purposes. Kind of like having a kitchen garden on a communal plot instead of in your back garden/yard.👍🌱👍

Do you have more slugs/snails🐌🐌🐌 than usual this year? I sure have .I hope you get rid of the pests/ intruders!?🐀🐭🐁? Thank you for the 🎥📡tour de Plot! Always nice to see the progress.👍🌞

I was chatting to one of my allotment neighbours on Saturday and she was saying she had seen loads more slugs and snails this year. Hoping with the Nematodes now down and the slugs that I found now evicted the onions will start to recover. 👍🌱👍
