How to Walk Away is basically the happier, less depressing, slightly lesser quality version of Me Before You. It’s a solid book, definitely worth the read if you like romance books or want something lightish and fast. The Trickster duet is AMAZING!!!!! It’s so much darker than the rest of Pierce’s books and I loved it so much.

I got They Both Die At The End, People Like Us, Where I Live, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Education of Margot Sanchez, Truly Devious, Gunslinger Girl, The Assassin’s Blade, Since You’ve Been Gone, and Never Fade! I think I got a pretty good selection of books but I really need to get An Ember in the Ashes soon!

Doooont forget to read the Protector of the Small quartet by tamora pierce. It comes after the immortal quartet. The trickster queen duology is chronologically after that. But they do stand by themselves pretty well unlike the other three series so it's not ultra important. Alanas daughter is honestly one of my all time fave heroines so I'm excited for you to read them. I also got that special edition of a darker shade of magic and the book store I work at actually got a few signed copies and then my best friend sort of stole it lol

Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen are my favourite books by Tamora Pierce. I love Ali and the rest of the characters and the way it deals with racism is amazing. I have read almost all of her books and I have to say that her writing keeps getting better even though there are some characters I like more than others they all at least feel real. Though Alanna can suck it, she was way too annoying for me!

Love the book haul. Nevernight isn’t her telling the story. It’s just the story lol. It flashed between past and present yes but it isn’t like her diary lol. And the footnotes and from like jay himself or just helpful tips throughout the story. It’s good though!!
@ohfortheluvofbooks3656 жыл бұрын
Or is it her recounting the story? If so my mind is blown lol now you have me wondering. 😂😂
@kurb42616 жыл бұрын
Actually we don’t know the narrator. If you reread the intro pages, it basically says that he is recounting the story of the most infamous assassin that Godsgrave has ever seen. They also say that no one really now who she was and what actually happened except him. I really hope we find out in Darkdawn!
@loljinxboi3856 жыл бұрын
The narrator is pretty cool though. Whoever he is. He reminded me a lot of Mr. Kindly. Gentlefriends. 😀

The footnotes in Nevernight are told in the perspective of like an omniscient narrator, but they got tedious and a little annoying so I stopped reading them about half way and enjoyed it a lot more from then. So in case anyone is reading this and wondering, the footnotes are not essential to the story!
@vampiravlog6 жыл бұрын
I when to Jay Kristoff book signing and he said that the footnote are for more of the world its self and the history of the world. He also said that it not for everyone and you can skip them.
