Jaclyn so I ordered my first ever Becca eyeshadow pallet that you collaborated with Becca. However, when I first tried the pallet I did noticed they were very drying but didn't think much of it. After a several times of using the pallet I did notice my eyelids were getting itchy yet I didn't think it was the pallet because I had heard great reviews about the regular Becca eyeshadows. Long story short I ended up getting a rash on my eyelids the doctor said it should be fine. I think I am more upset in the fact that I contacted Sephora and they told me they could not refund me my money because the eyeshadows were used. I hope you get a chance to read this and advice me on what I should do xoxoxox love you Jaclyn :)

Sephora refunds money within a certain number of days whether the product is used or not. If they refused you for it being used, you should call customer service.

I would go online and cut and paste Sephora return policy and email their customer service. Whoever you spoke to in CS is wrong. You can totally get your money back. Just email and reference the terms and conditions of returns.

I don't know if this comment will ever be seen Jaclyn, but I just wanted to say that I, along with so many others, completely understand and don't blame you for the mistakes made with the eyeshadow palette. Any brand, any company, any industry is going to experience mistakes and errors, and the level-headed people of the world are going to understand that. You have done everything in your power to make up for this mistake, have taken the product off the market and also promised a FULL REFUND for anyone dissatisfied with it. That is not something most brands would do. Your heart and work ethic is extremely admirable, and my trust in you has not changed a single bit. There are so many of us that know you are genuine, down to earth, and above anything, HONEST. You have been honest with us from day one and I don't expect anything less from you now. Please KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, and don't let the negativity affect you. OK Ima just girl talk right now about all of the hate over the eyeshadow palette rn? I understand that people are upset over it, but Jaclyn went out of her way to explain the entire thing over Snapchat. She also included how not every palette made was bad, so she was unaware because the one that she opened first was good quality. Anyone who knows anything about the makeup industry knows that this is a common issue with products, and sometimes factories pump out bad copies of certain products. Everyone hating on Jaclyn for this isn't a true fan. I'm so disgusted to see all of these long term "supporters" screaming about the palette even though Jaclyn has explained this entire ordeal and pleaded with Becca to get the cancellation and refunding of the palettes. Furthermore, Jaclyn said in her original YT video from last week (that she's now deleted) that she only created Champagne Toast in the eye palette. It's been stated over and over again that Jaclyn worked most extensively on the face collection. Cynfully Madicyn But she had no control over the formulation of the palettes. She said that in her story (and also that's how it works with every collaboration... ever...). For all we know, she could have had no idea of the ingredients of either palette. Also, there are tons of reviews and videos showing the good palettes from the collection, so it's already obvious that there is a consistency issue with production. And this happens with other companies too, where there's a bad batch of product that comes out because of the factory that they're produced in. It's not just with Becca.

Hi Jaclyn. Just watched your little snapstory about the champagne glow eyeshadow palette, and i´m getting so confused over a couple of things... I've subscribed to your channel a loong time, so I've always heard you say how "you would never put your name on something you do not believe in", still here you are saying now, weeks after the launch of these palettes, that you think it is shit. Does that mean that you don't test out everything you come out with? Even though you're kind of putting all the blame on Becca with this eyeshadow palette saying you only chose the color of one shade, it is still YOUR name on the palette and YOU let them put your name on it which means you represent it. So i don't understand how you can say that you would NEVER put your name on something that aren't a 100%?? Do you see how that is effecting your credibility and that your subscribers may not have that same trust with you anymore? Especially when the price is not very wallet-friendly to begin with, people expect the product to be good quality...... Good thing Becca made the decision to give a refund, but to me it is just a little too late and this should not have been a situation in the first place. After this, for me, I am not sure if i would trust your opinion like I used to, cause all this experience has showed me is that you don't make sure all your products are as good as they should be, therefore I don't think it is fear for you to say that you would never put your name on something you did not believe in - obvs that is a lie. I don't think your a bad person at heart or anything, I love watching your videos, and I do think you are genuine, but I also think you messed up big time when it comes to this incidence. Totally agree it's a little shady. She might have been under a lot of pressure if the release date got rushed or whatever, but I don't think that's an excuse what so ever to be honest. Simply don't put your name on something that you are not a 100% happy with, or don't expect people to take your word for what you say it is. I love love Jaclyn, I've always been a fan. I just really don't know how to feel anymore with the whole problem that went one. In my personal opinion, it was so unprofessional of Becca to have another lab help with the palettes. Yeah I understand that they needed to be made quickly because of the launch date. But honestly if that was the problem, Becca and Jaclyn could of just changed the date if things weren't finished. It was unprofessional for Becca to even think of getting help from another lab and selling these eyeshadow palettes with Beccas name on it but not a Becca formula. Very unprofessional. This isn't about the eyeshadow pallet, but I wanted champagne pop for so long, and I just couldn't afford it, and I finally bought it last week and idk if mine is a dud but it sucks. Like my 6$ highlighter shows up so much better. I even tried to wet my brush, and I'm using the brush that Jaclyn recommends (morphs m501) and it still is barely showing up and has faded within 20 minutes. Has anyone else had this problem.

I think the reason I'm the most upset about the whole champagne pop collection scandal is that I have trusted Jaclyn and her opinions for years. I am a long time subscriber and supporter and I have always trusted every review and everything that Jaclyn has supported. The plain and simple fact is that, Becca wanted to save money so they outsourced their product to China. Which obviously means extremely lower quality. +Anna Guzhva the product was made in China and has the same exact ingredients as palettes that are being sold from the brand essence which has $3 eyeshadow palettes. Nobody would be complaining about the price if they were the Becca quality shadows that everyone expected. Instead, they outsourced their shadows to a factory in China, which ended up meaning we, the customers, got SHITTY quality eye shadows and still paid as if we were getting regular quality Becca eye shadows. The eye shadows were completely different formula from the previous Becca eye shadows, and the only reason it came to the surface was because customers noticed how bad they were and complained. So yeah, it is wrong for her to sell them at $40, considering.
