My favourite primer combination for shine, oil control and overall smoothing is the Danessa Myricks water powder serum(may have the exact name wrong) with tbe Tarte smoothinh primer on the pores! Perfect!

NARS matt primer + NARS soft matte complete foundation or use the NARS Soft Matte Advance Perfecting Powder on top of your foundation. I have dry skin so usually don't like mattifying makeup but NARS is a different thing. Believe me, try it.

I have been doing laser hair removal for several years now. It is gorgeous, it's the best beauty routine for me! I love the effect.

I’ve used CDP radiant, and I really loved it. They are currently out of my color. I dorm weather everyday. It can be mixed with moisturizer to make the coverage lighter, for a more day-to-day wear. I have combo skin. I find water lauder double wear to be too drying. Unfortunately. I also love the Sisley concealer. I used it underneath Typology concealer. It’s not full coverage, but helps. This also works with the viral hack with aquaphor. I love the Armani bronzer. In 120. But applied lightly. It is really pigmented. The lighter colors are too yellow for me. Givenchy rose powder is much better for my aged under eyes. I don’t love the Huda powders as much. I also agree Laura Mercier powders tend to be too heavy for under eyes for me.

Hi Tania, RMS bronzers are actually not a baked formula. Rose-Marie said in one of her videos that she doesn't like the baked formulas because it kills all the goodness of the ingredients. They are using a different technology to make these powders.

Tania, you just sold me on the hair removal device. I also have pale light skin a course dark hair and have to shave in the morning in order to wear anything with open legs for the day. Laser hair removal is too painful and expensive too. Really hope this works, excited to try.

In the summer my skin runs more shiny even tho I'm generally dry. I change out my sun screen, moisturizer and foundation to accommodate. I actually just used the beekman milk primer as both my spf and moisturizer last summer with the fenty eaze drops and that was perfect.

❤I’ve been using the TF primer for several years now and since I have the same issue, especially in the summer, with my shiny t zone I’ve been looking for somewhat cheaper alternatives. I’ve purchased the danessa myricks yummy skin water powder serum and I’m testing it now. I apply it only on the t zone where I get shiny throughout the day. You’re supposed to apply it and really wait for it to dry before applying foundation so the products that go on top of it won’t peel. So far I like it and it’s def cheaper than TF and actually is designed for keeping the oils at bay. 🙌🏽

Here is amazing matte primer - Gucci Matte Primer. I have oily skin and my makeup looks amazing and last way longer than using even Tom Ford primer. It’s not cheap but cheaper than TF. 😅 I am not primer girl but this one is impressive ❤❤❤ thank you for the video

Caliray primer is fairly matte. BUT milk pore eclipse setting spray is matte. I use it under foundation. I usually use CT but if I want matte that will do it. They have a pore eclipse primer. But I was like I have the setting spray so I don’t need it. But maybe try one of those

Love your favorites videos! The Tilia fragrance might be my next purchase…sounds perfect for summer. You describe fragrances so well! I have an oily t-zone year round. The Danessa Myricks blurring balm powder in translucent just in the t-zone works wonders for keeping my oils at bay.

I got the one size translucent setting powder a few months back as a sample - I live in NYC so it’s hot 🥵 out right now - I tried my one size powder a couple weeks ago and omg never ever thought I would love it so much ! The glow still comes through but it keeps the oils away all day ! And I have a very active on my feet job- when I get home everything is still smooth - it’s really good 👍 I have normal skin

Try the chanel la base matifiante primer. Like the tom ford primer, it's quite lightweight and velvety in texture but more effective with oil control

Love watching your monthly round up videos, I end up with a couple new items every time. Your recommendations always work out which is nice for me, not so much the wallet 😂 I’ve been getting more shiny as well and reaching for powders which isn’t my norm as a usually dry skin girl, I want to try the new Laura Mercier talc free powder, I think it’s soft blur maybe. About perfume, have you tried anything from Mind Games? I’m slowly testing their collection but have been really enjoying Blockade, especially in the heat and it’s unisex which I know is your style for scents as well ❤

Question - huda beauty came out with an unfragranced version of their loose powder, I bought it and checked to see if I could get it in another colour and it's not listed anymore. Anyone else notice that? Was it actually limited edition? that seems so odd.

Tanya, I went down the same path you are going with the powders because I get so oily in my t zone no matter what foundation I use. The huda used to be my favorite, but then I tried the one size powder and also the Manny MUA lunar beauty powder that was recommended by Babs beauty here on KZbin, and depending on the foundation, I find those work better than the Huda. Laura Mercier repurchased, thinking the same thing as you and it was still too cakey and heavy.

I love that primer as well!! Another product I have been trying and was soo pleasantly surprised by is the Cle de Peau tinted moisturizer (50SPF) - it sets down like a foundation with a matte finish - quite surprised as I find most tinted moisturizers being more glowy. @tania - I love the Hourglass Veil primer - gives a matte finish

I'm a dry skin girl but I still prefer the LE over the HG tint. After a couple of hours, my own oils come through the LE and I glow from witihin. The Hourglass makes me look greasy and it transfers. LE sets down so much better, I never feel it on my face. Skin tints are promoted for summer but when it's hot and humid, the last thing you want is to feel your makeup on your face. *pet peeve shudder* I picked up the Mario bronzer and 4 Saie bronzers because you couldn't decide and now I can't decide!! Thanks at lot of making everytihing look beautiful Tania!! You kill my wallet lol

Sorry it didn’t work for you. What works for me may not work for you, so your skin is probably not gonna work with many of the foundations I like. It’s normal across the border since we all have different needs and texture to our skin. I follow certain creators that I know their foundation recommendations just don’t work for my skin, so I avoid trying those foundations. Maybe I’m gonna be your no buy foundation recommendations😋😉

When i have more normal skin days, i use the Surratt primer, i still do extra prepping than, and not a matte foundation. This stuff is amazing, i saw it on the channel of Lexi, Lexi Jong, at least more than a year ago. Wish i could always use it, it's the best primer i ever tried! I have combination skin that is mostly dry and sensitive but with an oily nose and chin. No powder works better on my oily areas than the Laura Mercier OG applied somewhat heavily with a puff. It’s too much for me all over but perfect on my oily areas. I get minis as gwps and they last forever! I also adore the Chanel trio (mine is Medium Coral) and am so glad I splurged on it. I also just picked up the Armani in Rosy Peach but haven’t tried it yet ❤

I usually have dry skin, but suddenly have oily skin and have been battling a shiny t-zone as well. I think some of it for me is my sunscreen, I have very sensitive eyes and can only use Beauty of Joseon, and I tried to use a more matte Japanese sunscreen, but my eyes couldn't handle it. Danessa Myricks blurring balm powder in universal patted over my t-zone has helped. I do find that the LM powder works best as a setting powder. I've also liked the Ciele spf powder, it's a natural finish and not as mattifying as the LM though. I also switched to a lightweight gel moisturizer at night and don't use any under my sunscreen, since it's quite moisturizing by itself in the summer.

blot wherever your face is oily - a commenter elsewhere said the best blotting paper they found is toilet seat cover paper. It actually does work but I imagine regular blotting paper is similar. 🤔

Many times oily skin is its reaction to dehydration if you’re not drinking at least 4 full glasses of water in addition to your food and coffee. That happened to me until I started drinking water regularly and my skin stopped over producing. Oil glands overcompensate when dehydrated.
