Jen, what beautiful clothes! I'm excited because I have that first New Look pattern you showed (I think it's 6602), and that dress was so cute. Loved the dino print. S8085 -- vintage dress -- is a showstopper. SO cute!! Your maxi dress is gorgeous, your peplum top looks wonderful on you. Home runs, girl! So much fun to see.

Thanks as always - I knew you had NL6602 and your versions have always been so cute. I need to make that again in the sleeveless version. It really is the perfect shift dress - and I never would have made the short one had I not seen how cute yours was. You're always inspiring me. I wonder if S8085 would look that good if crazy Jenna weren't modeling it. She is SUCH a ham, just like her dad, keeps us laughing with her dry humor and always making fun of herself. Great kid (not that I'm biased or anything). Now maybe I can get the June makes out in some kind of timely manner - we'll see. My mom tells me I was due on June 1 and born on the 16th, so I've been playing catch-up for many years! Mia was also due May 30 and showed up on the 13th. That goes-around-comes-around thing gets me every time - lol!

Listen, you put up your Makes videos any old time you WANT to. There’s no need to be timely. It’s a labor of (love? tomfoolery?) for us to launch these Makes videos and I don’t think anyone is holding onto a calendar checking for punctuality.😃I’m certainly not.

Hi Jen. Anna-marie here. I look all the items you made. I really like the was you explain what you have done with each. I have M5602 and S8085 and I have made both. I might get S8910 and try that. It looks very comfortable. I know how hot it gets in Florida because my husband, Harry and I spend our winters in Hudson, Florida. As a matter of fact, I am making both of us clothes to wear this winter there. I hope you continue to make more sewing video, they are very interesting. I will be looking forward to seeing more. Hi Anna-marie! I was surprised at how easy S8085 was for how cute it turned out. S8910 is indeed really comfy and I'm tempted to make the short version. Hudson is the perfect place to winter, right there on the beach! And this is a great time to sew for that time of year. I love Florida for the easy clothing that's so popular here. Plus the sunshine!

Hi Jen! Your girls look beautiful in their dresses. I loved your maxi-dress with the pleats and the top you are wearing. I am currently making the New Look 6602 tunic in a medium. I went by my measurements and made up the large last week and it was too big so today I am cutting out the medium. It's an easy make and I love the style of it. I hope I get to wear it here in Boise before it gets too cold! Love your channel.

Jen, hi!!! It is my understanding that the neckline on your Maxi dress came about as it did because you likely stretched the neckline while applying the bias binding. This I've learned from some of the videos I've watched. It might not occur again if you stay stitch your neckline before applying the bias. Hope it works. 👍

Daughter Jenna - Loved the modeling :) I love the flamingo dress on her, but a dress like that in my area would need something under it - it's too cold here. Your maxi dress looks pro. The pattern matching! Good stuff :) Pattern matching scares me a bit, I tend to avoid it! Haven't been sewing myself, but I want to! I have several I've been wanting to get started on but, well, no excuses!

Jenna is such a ham and generally such a fun girl to be around. I know what you mean about lining - I probably should have lined at least the bodice (and actually could at this point), but I don't want to spend the time taking everything apart and re-sewing it. Thanks about the maxi - I truly do love the flowy nature of that fabric. It turned out well!
