I watched the first episode of Altered Carbon at a friend's house and I have been meaning to watch the rest for so long! I really need to move it up my list!!

Oh I didn't realize that Six Crimson Cranes was based upon the swan fairytale! I don't see many retellings of that one--I'm definitely going to have to add it to my tbr once it's out!

when you were talking about the tea girl of hummingbird lane i had to sit back from the massive brain fart i had when i tried to remember where exactly i had read of a main character that had grown up in a tea farm as well (it was the manga sweat & soap (ase to sekken)) and... yeah, had to laugh at myself about it lol

The Infinity Courts sounds so good (I also love Altered Carbon...I mean anything with Anthony Mackie haha)! I’m excited for my TBR too - APAHM / APIHM is such a fun month for reading. Also the aesthetic on this video is immaculate :)

Love it! My reading challenge this year has been to read more diverse. The goal is to read from women, people of colour, lgbtq+ authors. I always try to read diversely, but this year I am not reading anything by straight cis white men at all. Will definitely pick up a few of these books! Thanks for the recommendations!

I've not seen Altered Carbon but I have read the book and found it a little off putting as it seemed to be written for a male audience (just a sense I got from how women were portrayed in the book).
