This is emotionale for me beacuse my grandpa died in december 31st of 2021..he was a werstling coach to my uncles. Also he was a sheriff a stepdad to my dad. 2022 will never be the same..he died at the age of 75.. also the saddest thing is he didnt see me turn 16 on my birthday..rip..richard lee russlle..stepdad.grandpa and werstling coach and sheriff

Home Away from Home From Ballymore to Kerry As the mornin' sun'll rise Aromas of the early breeze In the beauty of Irish skies Thatched roofs dot the horizon Sheep grazing mountainside An' puffins in the Skelligs Gods beauty far and wide The laughter, joy, her warming smiles Traditions through the years A pint of Guiness, er cheers of whiskey No longer any fears A memory of times ancient passed As peat warms the ket' fer tea A tune played on the penny whistle Of where I long to be Her rollin' fields of hues of green And fences made of stone So far across the deep blue sea, So far away from home Yet as the years have come to pass Tis' what I've come to find I long to be in Ireland Where my heart was left behind

This is such a wonderful video and song! But I just have to clarify for people who don’t know: this is Slieve League in Donegal. It’s really wonderful, much fewer people and there are sheep up close, in the middle of the road actually. I definitely recommend visiting!

Goodness me, make sure you do as much as you can!! My mum is from Ireland and I have the greatest memories ever from the summers and holidays spent there surrounded by family, cousins, cousins and more cousins, running around in fields and beaches with not a single care in the world. It is such a special place full of such amazing people you can't find anywhere else. The only sadness was going back to England, leaving the place, us all in tears, wondering why on earth anyone would leave this heavenly place to go back to a concrete jungle and feeling a terrible jealousy of those kids who also called the place home but lived there too! The times spent in Ireland have definitely contributed to the person I am today and I will make sure my dream of living there when I'm older is fulfilled! I hope soon I'll be over there stepping off the plane at Knock to fill my lungs and heart with the magical smell of home!
