I love Anne of Green Gables so much! It is such a nostalgic book for me. Her story is set really close to where I grew up so maybe that’s why. Did you know it’s actually a series? You can read more of Anne as she grows up 😊 although I love the first one most just because it’s so iconic I think.

i've started reading ACOTAR like today at 3 am (i don't know why honestly) but i'm a hundred pages in. and i'm loving it! fortunately AND unfortunately, i've spoiled myself by looking at hashtags in instagram and so have known //some// things that's about to happen esp in ACOMAF so IM really excited in flying through ACOTAR and blessing myself with ACOMAF hahahaha

I felt very similarly to about Heir of Fire. It seemed to take me to much longer to read then the other. I also plan to read Queen of Shadows but I don't know exactly when. However, Children of Blood and Bone is definitely on my June TBR.

I didn’t enjoy the whole Throne of Glass series much at first because of the audiobooks. That narrator..... lol. Queen of Shadows did redeem the series for me. Still not my favorite series of all time but reading the physical copy does help!

I bought Children of Blood and Bone last month and have been putting it off cause I'm in the middle of reading like...ALL THE BOOKS at the moment hahaha, but now I'm eyeing it on my shelf like "Mmmm maybe..." The urge, the urge is strong with this one haha, I also have The Name of the Wind on my shelf as well, I clearly have no self control hahaha! I felt the same after reading Heir of Fire, it was like "Oh ok" What did you think of the introduction of Rowan? he was my favorite honestly

I feel like only straight people like Leah on The Offbeat because they can’t see the problematic stuff. I’m getting my copy soon and I noticed that some people in the LGBTQ+ community said it was bad rep. I’m bi so I’ll see myself if it’s bad rep or not.

I can totally understand what you are saying. I looked at some own voices reviews and they are pretty mixed. I do think it’s important for novels to be own voices, but I do believe that if enough research is done then some non-own voices books can be great! E.g. Becky’s other book Simon has received great reviews on its gay rep!
