Maya Lets Model the Incredibles Omnidroid - Part 2

How demanding is Autodesk Maya? If I am just making small models, will it be fine with an i5 4200u?

+Reedster It should run all the small models without problem. I have been forced to use an i3, 4GB RAM laptop to model before, now that isnt fun ;)

+SivanBones Hah, I bet! I only plan on making small models anyways. I have used Blender before but i didn't know if Maya was anymore demanding. Thanks alot! :)

Yea it should be fine. If it slows down you can do a couple of things...Turn plugins off that arent being used or in 16 you have control over how the cores are used, so you can distribute the load more evenly

Thank you for this information, I won't be using this laptop long as my build should be finished by fall. I am going to be using an 8 core amd fx 8350 which should be fine.... I hope.
