@@wend4004 You are just wrong. If a majority of people ate less beef, the cattle industry would lose money because they would sell less product. They pay to make that product, therefore overproducing hurts their revenue, so they would shrink production. Go back to school.

@@volca_1 Yes but you are forgetting that livestock is subsidized by the USDA and that money doesnt just go away because people eat less meat. Sure eating less beef would maybe sway some farmers to raise other more sustainable livestock but you have to recognize that the industry isnt just supply and demand when you have government funds and lobbyists

what else would a text that JUST says "karaoke bar" mean? Saying just a location is pretty much always a call to action. "grocery store" means, either do you want anything from the grocery store, or do you wanna come with me to it. Both are acceptable interpretations and if the person didn't want one they should specify. "bowling" means, do you wanna go bowling. "library" means meet me at the library. It's always an invitation. Otherwise why send it. The only way to turn it around is if she said "I'm at the karaoke bar", then that's not an invitation (yet), that's just information.

There's a difference between not doing something at all and doing something responsibly. I'm so sick of people being like so we can't do anything now? Arguably, we've increasingly transitioned to a post-evolutionary phase of human development as a species, ever since we first started cultivating crops and animals for food. Easier and safer access to food energy sources meant less risk and pressure to evolve adaptations to compete with nature for every calorie. I already eat very little red meat. From a medical perspective, it's nutritional value is not that great, as the proportion of protein:fat is not very good compared to fish or fowl. When you have high cholesterol the doctor actually tells you to eat less red meat for that same reason.
