Kurts goal is to complete the following: 1. "Sons of Anarchy "✔️ 2. "Mayans MC" (in progress) 3. "The First 9" (10 episode mini-series on founders) The last piece that Kurt doesn't mention much is that he would love to do a show in the future that focuses on Abel and Thomas (Jax's sons)... If it were me, I'd wait about 7-10 years post SOA to run a 3rd series telling story of Thomas and Abel finding out who their father is, what that life was and their interest in pursuing it. I'd bring Nero back as their guardian, maybe Wendy. To bridge the gap, I'd also bring Chibbs, Tiggy and Happy back as the trio that still leads the club...I would luv to see the dynamic between Chibbs (still President) and Abel, who is clearly his fathers son and is prospecting. Thomas, not prospecting, is more like his Tara and Jax (pre-President) & trying to keep Abel away from the life. I would appropriately title this show...."SONS"...I REALLY hope Kurt gets to do this. All SOA fans would come back to watch, as most will for "Mayans MC"

I agree with everything but waiting 10 yrs. I believe keeping series up and going and fresh would keep us old timers attached to the series while pulling in next generation.

If Mayans MC does well, we' re looking for at least 4 seasons and if the fan base is still strong we will get probably the next year after Mayans MC is done the mini series about the First 9 and then the sequel with the SONS. We' re already 4 years after SoA ended, so if that's the timeline the sequel will come to life in 2014. In Mayans MC gets picked up for season after season, then it's possible in the last season to see the boys. Don't forget they're supposed to be living in a farm in Mexico and Mayans MC is set right on the borders.

Kurt said on Tom Arnold's podcast when he was on the Mayans MC is Chapter 2 of 4 in this Mythology. First 9 will be done but he's thinking more as a Mini Series than a full blown Series. Then after First 9 he's thinking of a Series where Abel and Thomas return to Charming and The Club. In the meantime Mayans MC will start on the day after Jax's death and the aftermath. No word if we'll see Chibs,Tig,Hap, and the rest of the surviving SOA.

HARMARSCH2 I'm really hoping all of the mythology comes through. Early on I heard that we will some SOA in the Mayans MC but like you said no word on if any of the characters like Chibs, etc...will be in it.

I don't think I can love anything as much as SOA, but Kurts an artist and literary genius so I will definitely give the Mayans a shot! It'll just be hard seeing characters from SOA and a simular setting, while knowing that story is done.

MsHarleyD First 9 will not be about Able and Thomas. That's just impossible, First 9 takes place in the 60's. SOA starts in 2004 and goes up from there.

Clay Morrow Right. I didn't say First 9 was about Abel and Thomas. They are two separate projects. I've been following SOA, Kurt and the actors since Day 1 running over 10 fan pages. :) Kurt said he will do Mayans MC, First 9 and possibly Abel and Thomas. I'm so excited about it all.

I could care less if he says "uuuhhh" a lot. I'm excited as hell about this. I loved SOA and stoked about this project. I like how Kurt doesn't just come up with a theme and throw it together. He clearly wants his projects to show effort with the research, reality and growth. Totally pumped.

Kurt is one of the only two people in television, Shonda Rhimes being the second, whose career I will follow to the grave. Sad TBX never got a second season to truly flourish, but I have high hopes for Mayans MC on its own as well as carrying on the Sons mythos.

I just wanted to say Thank you for starting this Mayans project. As a SOA and Mayans fan, it’s crazy to see how this show has evolved. All jokes aside, we fans really want to see you and Elgin back together for Season 4 and beyond. Even if it’s not in an official capacity due to those suits at Disney, Elgin needs you more than ever now as a mentor/friend with this being such an important season for not just this show, But the entire SOA universe you created! While I know how you felt about the way season 2 ended, I’m sure we can still get to the point that you were aiming for or at least veeeeeery close to it. Secondly, As a fan who often talk to other fans, I’m here to tell you The first 9 and Thomas & Able projects would still do very well and should not be abandoned! It’s a gaping hole in the story that we fans will forever be pondering over. Both of those projects would do major numbers today!!!! Being who you are, I know you can feel It’s time to breathe some fresh air back into the TV scene. I KNOW you can sense this! Things are very stale right now with very little originality or new ideas. It was that way prior to SOA! This era feels the same way! You and a few other creators helped breathe life back in TV with your level of foresight and authenticity back then and can very easily do it again! In this sea of messes called TV shows, you would stand out the exact same way you did back then. Lastly, TV exec politics aside, another Idea that a lot of folks in the MC world have been kicking around is a Grim Bastards spin off series for the African American fan base that also played a huge part in the success of the SOA universe. There is a content creator on here named Black Dragon who is a part of the Black Sabbath MC who could serve as your initial TA. BD has been a fixture in the biker scene for a couple decades and would be itching to help with a project of this magnitude. I’m sure he can link you with some diamonds(chosen few/outcast) to also help be TA’s as well as maybe even act as David/Rusty/Chuck/Sonny did on SOA. This entire universe is your baby! We can’t just let it languish! Let’s feed it and watch it grow again!!! Just an idea! Happy New Year! I'm sure it'll be an amazing transition from the Sons mythology to the Mayans. We already have a decently established picture in the sons series and I think that if you pull it off just right with the same sort of atmospheric approach as you did within the sons series (like you spoke about in the video, flamboyant colors, lowrider inspired, cultural difference in hierachy) then I believe it'll add a great great layer for the universe, and also make a lot of people rewatch Sons for the sake of the Mayan lore. Son's of Anarchy would naturally be of interest to me, given my Biker background... and obviously it was to millions of people much like me... It became one of the most successful Television Series ever... What I didn't expect was, also like many, discovering Show Runner, Kurt Sutter... The Man behind the concept and actully everything SOA! I don't believe anyone else in a Television creative and management position has EVER opened themselves up to "US" like Kurt! He's an Open Book, Smart, Interesting, Talented, and easy to root for... I simply want him to succeed! The Myans, I suspect will be way more then a B-Movie type Biker Production... Its timely cultural diversity dive, I don't believe, is an accident... This Series will make a statement... In an era of ramped up deportations, and Ignorant Bikers for Trump... this is a gutsy Concept only Sutter would attempt... Bottomonline I look forward to not only being entertained... but also being Educated!

OMFG Last night, I finished binge watching S.O.A. Let me back up, because I have noticed a lot of comments are from men, I'm a 44 yr old chick and I have some knowledge about biker clubs. S.O.A. was absolutely, unhinged, twists and turns, on the edge of my seat, AWESOME. Tonight I started watching The Mayans, I want to cry and throw up, I had to stop the second episode of the first season at 24 minutes remaining and as an American mother of a 10 year old son, I don't think I'm gonna be able to stomach it. So, I decided, to look up Kurt, and this video is the first I've watched is his and, I'm so glad that he mentioned the fear of his own scenes, that lets me know he's sane, LoL. I seriously don't know if I can watch the rest, because of his own in depth research; b/c if this is the reality of what his research led to, then, I think I'd rather be left in the dark. In other words, he's got bigger b*lls than I got b**bs, if he's still sane after making this show.
