If you wanna start writing a book just start and don't think too much about what you're writing. Write something YOU wanna read. And love your story. Not the writing you can edit the draft later but love your story and your characters! Love them so much they want you to tell their story. Have some main plot points, I personally don't know every single detail, those just come to me while writing. Know your ending though. And don't be afraid of re writing. I tend to re write my drafts 4-5 times before they're done and ready for edits 😊 the more you stick to your story the more it'll grow and evolve and the more you can add details once you start editing ☺️ Oh and write ideas down, even if they seem small or unimportant! You will forget them if you don't, speaking from experience 😅

good advice! i did that a while ago and it was really fun, i wrote over 40,000 words. But it kinda burned me out in the long run because it felt too unorganized, chaotic, and messy to me, and I lost motivation to work on it and untangle the story. In the video I said I wasn't actively working on any stories, but after the video was filmed I actually finally started planning a book idea i had for a while! 🫶 I'm very excited to develop it further 🤭 I don't regret my first attempts with writing though, because it taught me that everyone has different approaches and that taking the time to first plan/outline and organize my thoughts is what works best for me! :) I definitely agree with you on writing down ideas. Sometimes you think there's no way you'll forget it and then you do 😂 I love having brain dump moments and getting it all out 📝

yes it's clean! there is romance and tension at times, but nothing explicit. (i haven't read the 3rd book yet, but im assuming since it's YA it will continue being clean as the rest of the series)

🌸 for outlining your book I definitely recommend Abbie emmons KZbin channel, she has a whole playlist of videos about outlineing and planning your book which I used for mine and it was REALLY helpful!! Love the video (and your Marissa Meyer books shrine behind you 😍). Also have you read serendipity the short story collection edited by Marissa Meyer? She has a story in it too which was really good! Also have you listened to ‘the happy writer’, Marissa Meyers podcast? I never thought I’d listen to podcasts but she interviews lots of authors about their books and writers and it’s actually really interesting! Anyway I’ve written a whole paragraph and given you lots of questions sorry 😂
