No, it's always been like this. If you watch the episode in full, be it on DVD or TV reruns, this scene still plays out like that. That's because the show was made here in Canada and was aimed strictly at teens, even airing during prime time. Then when Cartoon Network got the rights, they decided to not only market it to kids, but also edit a few scenes and dialog in an attempt to make it more appropriate. What's funny is that a lot of the story, jokes and characters don't work without certain scenes in there, so most of the inappropriate content remained intact. The only edit I legit hated was when they replaced Lindsay throwing a bunch of bleeped out swears at Heather with a much more typical generic insult, especially since everyone's reaction to what she says in the American cut makes it really obvious she originally said something far worse. Even the delivery sounds off, meaning if you didn't know the show was edited up to that point, it became obvious when that one came along.
