Some people think that TPB is just a silly show with it's absurd amount of cursing and drug use etc. But I'd have to say it's easily the most brilliant piece of entertainment that's ever existed in any genre. I straight up teared up when this song was playing at the end of season 10. How they discovered John Dunsworth (Lahey) I'll never fathom, but what an amazing rare gem of talent he was!
@drewb0075 жыл бұрын
Great thoughts, Ryan. I think it's at least in part because of the undying theme of friendship that is built-in to every episode. They are all pretty awful to each other from time to time but no one from outside the park gets to mess with them. They are, for want of a better term, a family. Family isn't always pretty, it's messy....but they are family. It's not a show that pretends to be something it isn't.
@dilajintz-idealcollective26805 жыл бұрын
@@drewb007 That's because on top of being pricks to each other, they love and care about each other. They always say "I love you bud" to each other, are there for each other, take care of each other. Everyone in the park cares about one another, even if Mr. Lahey was a dick sometimes, you saw humanity in his character. That's what I personally love about the show, on top of being a Canadian show

This show wasn't and ain't only humor. Its family. Its the solid damned description of family. Family, who goes through the worst damned luck, and had the worst times, known very bad people, but no matter how many times they went to jail, no matter how many times they got shot, no matter what the fucking hell happened, they stayed together. Its goddamn beautiful. It really is, I never cry, but this show, it made me cry. Even though these are just actors, I don't give a damn. Its so good, they are such close friends that its believable to be a real life they lived. These friends, they never left each others sides, even when the votes to do so were through the roof. They never stopped the trust, the love, the constant covering on each others backs. I wish I had brothers like this, family like this, I wish I had something like this. Even if its tough, its people. Sunnyvale is not a park. Its the people. Fucking like it or not, they are family. This show isn't just a funny show to laugh at. It might have a point. Family will always carry you, even if its fucked. We all stick together, even if we get fucked around alot. I cried so hard on end of Season 10, it was unreal. If you didn't, you don't gotta goddamned heart.

There's a voice That keeps on calling me Down the road Where I always seem to be And every stop I make I see my old friend It ain't long 'till I get spun round and I'm gone again. Maybe Tomorrow My whole world'll settle down. But it ain't tomorrow, So I keep movin' on. On down a road, That never seems to end, Full of track-lines and rails And lies around each bend. So if you're gonna join me, For a while Better grab your hat, you know I live like that, kinda hobo style. Maybe Tomorrow I'll wanna settle down. It ain't tomorrow, So this old world's still my home. I got my own world waitin' to unfold. In a ziplock bag where I can drag out this worn-down soul. I made it through so far so I know it wont be long. I must be almost there already paid my fare with this hobo song. Maybe Tomorrow My God will help me settle down. But it ain't tomorrow, so I guess I'll keep movin' on.

Hearing those voice clippings of John Dunsworth makes me tear up man. Lahey was my favourite Trailer Park character, as much as i hated him. trailer Park Boys and The Littlest Hobo literaly raised me. My father was a drunk, who only stayed sober so mom would stick around, and she only stuck around, cause by the time she realised how narcististic my father was, she was too old to move one. I once met John Dunsworth at a gas station. I was about 10 and he stayed in the drunken character of Lahey the whole entire time. It was such a joy, truly a man with the most innocent and pure heart. Still, 4 years on, hearing his voice justt puts me into shock. Its a reminder that the people who you cherish, can be gone in a second. Rest easy John 'Lahey' Dunsworth 🤍🕊
