I don't understand why Maybelline has kept shade 310 in the deep skin segment when it suits light skin so well. You have light to medium skin. It's so hard to find the right shade for me as a brown girl because every other shade that light-skinned girls are using suits their skin tone, even though the brand says it's for dark-skinned girls.

Try natural beige or natural buff…. 228 soft tan is for medium skintone with a little yellow (warm ) in it…. I have also done a video for shade comparison of Natural beige and Natural buff, you can get a little idea about the shades in that video…..

I have sun beige in fit me compact, it is a tad bit yellow for my skin but still I would say it works fine, next shade up from sun beige is natural beige which would be lighter i feel and won’t work… fit me compact doesn’t have my shade honestly.

Maybelline fit me foundation is for oily/combination skin type, if you have dry skin, use plenty of moisturiser before this foundation and do not use compact powder over it, it will dry it out…. But if you can, then avoid using this foundation…

Nc 40 will be too yellow for you…. You should either go for NC37 or NC30…. Both these shades are on the cooler side as 220 natural beige is also on the cooler side…

Maybelline fit me doesn’t oxidise on my skin, are you sure you are picking the right shade? Always match your undertone and if possible go to a store and swatch the shade on you and then buy…

I bought two wrong shades online. Fit me 220 is too light for me and 310 looks grey on me because I have yellow undertone. Nykaa skingenius 03 warm sand is the perfect shade for me but it doesn't have coverage. I think I should try fit me228 soft tan. Btw your video is very helpful. ❤️
