This division is really heating up. Strawweight has been my favorite women's weight class for years, but I can genuinely say that I'm looking forward to five -- *_five_* -- upcoming women's flyweight bouts: • Erin Blanchfield vs. Taila Santos • Natalia Silva vs. Andrea Lee • Karine Silva vs. Maryna Moroz • Rose Namajunas vs. Manon Fiorot • Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2 The first three are showcase bouts for me, where I expect Erin, Natalia and Karine to show out and prove their superiority. With Rose vs. Manon, I wanna see if Rose can adjust to the ten extra pounds. And with Alexa vs. Valentina, I wanna see if Alexa can maintain the belt. Plus, if Maycee's last fight is any indication to go by, then she's gone back to being the aggressive finisher she was in her LFA/early UFC fights.

i get what she's saying about valentina not being rousey but...valentina already matched rousey in terms of title defenses (yes i'm including the strikeforce defense), so her losing is right in line with what happened to rousey tbh. wanted to argue about 115 being more stacked than 125, completely forgot about santos and her visa issues, maycee's right, 125 is the division. hopefully rose can match up physically with the 125ers, bc in terms of skill, she's superior to most of them imo. joanna was in a similar boat but she's not as good as rose

Valentina did not make a mistake with that kick, why do people keep saying that? Valentina uses that kick on all her fights. No one couldn’t capitalize on that kick except Alexa Grasso.

@@Wickedgu3st It’s not a Mistake. The spinning kick is one of Valentina best weapons. Valentina succeeded with that kick on Holly Holm, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Lauren Murphy, most of her opponents. She couldn’t do it with Alexa Grasso. I think on the rematch, Valentina will be thinking twice about doing that spinning kick.

My assumption is Rose is just doing 125lbs because it's her first fight back and she doesnt want to cut down to 115. Id assume she will be back at 115 after this fight. Especially if Valentina wins her belt back as they are friends. Maybe if Valentina loses and Rose wins, they give Rose a title shot right away but cant imagine she stays at 125.
