I’m surprised at the huge difference between brown and black clay. Both being dark I would think they wouldn’t be that different

Hi! Great video & so helpful, i got the sampler pack and hope to have some pieces fired soon. One question though, what is the difference between the "brown" and the "black" clays, is it an Iron vs Manganese issue? Trying to figure out where my clay body would fit...

I'm new to pottery, can these only be used on stoneware clay, or can they be used on mid-fire too?

Stoneware is a form of midfire clay. You can use it on many different kinds of clays but these are midrange glazes, so you can't use it on low-fire clays.
