Can we just admire how clean Mayday Parade's vocals are in the sense that they're intelligible? I mean, the words are so clear and usually not meshed together, which makes it easier to hear and remember the lyrics. I've always admired that about them and how their vocal style works awesomely with their instruments.

This song has been with me every time I've felt like curling up on the floor, you listen to it and for three minutes and fifty six seconds you just just let it out.. let your heart break and shatter, lose it all to the sadness.. maybe that's not such a great thing to some.. but for me it lets me move on, empty the tank... we've all got those times, but strength comes when you exhaust all weakness

+Zoey Elizabeth and Michaela, I hope you guys are doing better. It's funny, when you meet someone that has self harmed, it's almost like a little shitty club, because we all know what it's like to need to control and release the pain. I look back on my scars and think 'never again' I hope you do too.. It's the intense way we feel that makes us who we are, and the scars remind me that it's a gift to be alive.

Katie, don't cry, I know You're trying your hardest And the hardest part is letting go Of the nights we shared Ocala is calling And you know it's haunting But compared To your eyes, Nothing shines Quite as bright And when we look to the sky, It's not mine, But I want it so Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight (I know he's there and) You're probably hanging out and making eyes (while across the room he stares) I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes Because these words were never easier for me to say Or her to second guess But I guess That I can live without you but Without you I'll be miserable at best You're all that I hoped to find In every single way And everything I would give Is everything you couldn't take 'Cause nothing feels like home, You're a thousand miles away And the hardest part of living Is just taking breaths to stay 'Cause I know I'm good for something I just haven't found it yet But I need it So let's not pretend like you're alone tonight (I know he's there and) You're probably hanging out and making eyes (while across the room he stares) I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes Because these words were never easier for me to say Or her to second guess But I guess That I can live without you but Without you I'll be miserable And I can live without you But without you I'll be miserable And I can live without you Oh, without you I'll be miserable at best

As good as they covered it- Nate and Shady can't mimic the literal pain and raw emotion slipping out of Jason and Derek's mouths. That feeling just can't be reciprocated- and instead they made it sound like Panic At The Disco! instead of Mayday Parade- not that it's a bad thing. I just personally lean more to the original.

Katy, don't cry, I know You're trying your hardest, and the hardest part is letting Go of the nights we shared Ocala is calling, and you know it's haunting But compared to your eyes Nothing shines quite as bright And when we look to the sky It's not mine, but I want it so Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight I know he's there, and You're probably hanging out and making eyes While across the room he stares I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor And ask my girl to dance, she'll say yes Because these words were never easier for me to say Or her to second-guess, but I guess That I can live without you, but Without you, I'll be miserable at best You're all that I hoped I'd find in every single way And everything I would give is everything you couldn't take 'Cause nothing feels like home, you're a thousand miles away And the hardest part of living is just taking breaths to stay 'Cause I know I'm good for something, I just haven't found it yet And I need it So let's not pretend like you're alone tonight I know he's there, and You're probably hanging out and making eyes While across the room he stares I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor And ask my girl to dance, she'll say yes Because these words were never easier for me to say Or her to second-guess, but I guess That I can live without you, but Without you, I'll be miserable at best And this will be the first time in a week That I'll talk to you, and I can't speak It's been three whole days since I've had sleep 'Cause I dream of his lips on your cheek And I got the point that I should leave you alone But we both know that I'm not that strong And I'll miss the lips that made me fly So let's not pretend like you're alone tonight I know he's there, and You're probably hanging out and making eyes While across the room he stares I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor And ask my girl to dance, she'll say yes Because these words were never easier for me to say Or her to second-guess, but I guess That I can live without you, but Without you, I'll be miserable And I can live without you, but Without you, I'll be miserable And I can live without you, but Oh, without you, I'll be miserable at best

Wow, I couldn't listen to this song for the better part of a decade. After my very first breakup, I was in so emotional pain I OD'ed on hydrocodone and rum. Woke up in the hospital with a breathing tube down my throat, the last thing I remembered was listening to this song while crying my eyes out. Apparently stopped breathing a couple times. Keep in mind that I was 15 and very traumatized afterwards. After this I really began abusing drugs and alcohol. Just got on Suboxone so I'm cautiously optimistic

Heard this song when I was 14, I'm turning 24 this month... Haven't heard it in many years, I listened to it a lot back then, for some reason it popped in my head... Still love it 🖤

I just turned 28 a few days ago and I've been going back recently and listening to everything FUSE played in the 2000s and reminiscing. Where does the time go?

Growing up as an emo/scene kid, I LOVED Mayday Parade. And I loved this song. I never could relate fully. sure I had crushes that rejected me, and I would listen to this song, but it was just a stupid crush. 3 months ago my fiance left me. My first long term relationship. She is the most wonderful, passionate, amazingly perfect woman in the world. And i lost her. This song hits way, way, way harder when you have experienced real Love. Crazy how this song first made me cry at 14, and I'm crying even harder now at 31.

This song has perfectly summed up how I feel. Both of the people I started dating cheated on me and dumped me for their ex's even though I gave them all that I could. I just need someone to talk to.

Calidas Phantome that is terrible, i'm so sorry to hear that. they didn't deserve you. if they didn't want the relationship, they should have been honest to you. they didn't respect you so thank goodness they are gone so you can find someone who deserves you. don't let them hurt you anymore.
