I love this song. I know Derek's meaning is completely different but to me, when I sing it, I like to think of the 'she' being me. Not me on the outside though, like my other half that's trapped inside. That other half thats in denial of being broken. Then eventually I am set free at the part where he says "I don't know if I'll ever make this right, because I'm just so broken by the bitterness of loneliness" since I admit I am broken...I absolutely love this band

people really need to learn that many bands, especially live, hav a second vocalist that says a few lead lines. so the mics should really be about the same volume. for harmonies and such the second vocalist can just lean back or something. just makes more sense to me, rather than having that last line before the chorus be quieter than the rest of the verse was
