Just chilling when you know what was going on. Also a shout out to all the mariners out there who resspond to emergency situations like this. They immidiatley stop what they are doing and step up to help save lives time and time again.

Having gone to college in St Pete for a year back in 2013, I drove over the new Skyway bridge every weekend coming home. Even on the new bridge, there was one day where I was the last vehicle over before they closed the bridge for high winds and water coming over the lower section of road. That day, my Ram 1500 was blown from the right lane almost into the inner concrete wall from the huge gales at the very top of the span. I’ve got family members who absolutely hate driving over it. As a native Floridian, we all know you don’t screw around with Florida weather. When it looks bad, it’ll get bad quick

This happened a few decades later in Baltimore, MD where the Francis Scott Bridge is completely destroyed.

Yeah I heard about the Francis Scott Bridge this morning and immediately thought about Sunshine Skyway.

That's why I'm here. I Watched the skyline bridge video a while back and couldn't remember which city it was in. I knew it was Florida but thought it was Miami.

I first moved to Florida and my parents used to take us in this bridge and I was terrified it was so high and you could see how far down the water was The new skyway felt much safer and you can't see down like the old one .
