Are you able to figure out what caused the violent explosion?

Too much air pressure: not enough working locks. 😥

What I am able to figure out is that this is the THIRD time you have posted the same video under various titles.

@@zzydny This appears to be a revised production of the original Mayday: Air Disasters episode about the crash. There are definitely scenes not depicted in the original. The makers of the series probably added some previously edited footage to remake the episode.

As someone who has seen the results of a pressure door failure I can only imagine. Similar incident happened in the mid 80’s to a C141B while doing a ground pressurization. Procedures were put in place to visually inspect pressure door locks to insure they lock. Canibalization was a common practice throughout the 80’s that I know of. So much so that had what they called a Can Bird. I would have hated to have been the guy who installed those rods and his supervisor who signed off the ❌.

I was a young teen when this took place and I have never forgot about this crash. My heart still hurts for the lose of all those that were killed but I'm glad to see that some good has come out of it. I always wondered if they found the cause. I'm glad to finally get an answer.

The right people, at he right time and place, guided a lethally injured plane to the best possible, one might say miraculous landing

I was part of Operation Baby Lift stateside. Flight Attendants (United)...and others participated. We flew to LA from our base cities and escorted babies to midwestern and Eastern states to their adoptive patents or agencies. I’m about to turn 75 so these babies may be in their 50’s! Hard to believe! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was okay watching this until Baby Ina and then, tears. What heroic piloting by Capt. Traynor. 47 years have gone by since this incident, but the war in Vietnam is still very raw.

I've never heard of this accident (I was only 7 years old and in the U.S. when it happened). The fact that there was a war raging around the investigation -- and the exiting of Saigon-- is incredible. One of the most amazing episodes I've seen so far.

In 1975 I was enjoying a careful life as a Junior in high school in Southern California while all this was going on I knew it was really bad there but I had no idea now I'm 65.

By 1975 the US was already out of Vietnam. It was only Diplomatic, intelligence and other none combatants still there, the war was over where the US was involved. It was the South Vietnamese fighting alone in 1975, even the Air support had ended at this point! (I believe American Air support ended in 1974, but I might be wrong on this) Not exactly glorious or good how we left but it is what it is, along time ago. This is one of the saddest events in history! At least it was better than how the people occupying the White House now abandoned Afghanistan!

This is not really related to the crash or the tragedy itself but wth was the US President on TV making announcements about rescuing babies from Vietnam using the C-130s? It’s not like they weren’t already targets. That made no sense.

There shouldn’t be any orphans with half the world christian. "Take care of the elderly and orphans." They slightly help elderly and ignore the second part completely. Where are those adoptions you hypocrites?
@ChibiPanda8888
@ChibiPanda8888 Жыл бұрын
But you seem to have forgotten, the world is fallen. As HUMAN BEINGS, we Christians are fallen. In a perfect world that would be true; there would be no orphans, needy elderly people, and just no needy people in general. However, there is. Everybody has shortcomings and failures, even Christians. Especially Christians. Selfishness, stupidity, poverty, ignorance, and general ungodliness are everywhere, even in Christian circles. Some families would sacrifice so much to adopt a child but for some reason cannot due to various reasons. Are you judging them? There are rules and regulations galore for foster care as well as adoption and sometimes it seems like there is no good reason for adoptions to not go through. I have heard it is also very expensive to adopt a child. As for the elderly, there are also rules there, and I believe every nursing home has different rules at least from whatever hospital system they are governed under if they are under a hospital system. Also, there are some places where COVID has tightened those rules where not just anybody can come in and do things. Sometimes they do not even let family members of the patients in there. Sometimes for those who aren't in a nursing home, we just don't know what they need because we are human and cannot read minds. There are programs that the government runs, there are shelters, there are food banks, and there are all sorts of things to help these needy people. Sometimes they refuse help, or become greedy and ask for far more than they should and start mooching off of the giver. Sometimes those who are "down-and-out" are their from their own choice, so there is a personal responsibility as well. There are a lot of factors to this whole situation that you have wither not thought of, not taken into account, or just conveniently forgotten about when you made that snap judgement and off-the-cuff jab of a comment. How about in your own life? What are you doing to help the elderly, down-and-out, and orphans? What are you doing to help your fellow man? Or are you just pointing and judging? Maybe do a bit of self-analysis before making accusations.

Human negligence as usual. Also, I found it really odd of the Pilots comment. When they said the door gave off warnings and needed to be open and closed several times he states. 44:00 "We had to bring it up and down several times for it to lock....SEEMED TO BE ROUTINE". UHH....WHAT??? ADOOR NOT CLOSING AND HAVING TO DO IT SEEVERAL TIMES IS CONSIDERED ROUTINE??? REMIND ME NEVER TO TRUST THE AIRFORCE APPARENTLY.
