I saw a video of Mayday performing live and Derek said, “Whatever you’ve been through or are going through right now, you can and WILL be happy again.” I heard this right after making the realization that I had not been truly and genuinely happy in about 10 years. I needed that in that moment and I will never forget those words. That really was a worry I had - that I never could be happy again. But now I realize that is not rational thinking.
