Are you a 3/4 sleeve person? I know I am, but the husband... not so much.

I am - hubs would be a hard no ;-)

Great make, I love that textured fabric! I would steal it 😁. It's definitely the sort of thing I look for in a solid fabric!

Thanks Renata! I think one of us females will win out in the long run lol.

Hey Ms. Viv! Watching you while packing up my house...Love, love, love this top on Jack and I can almost feel the softness of the fabric through your description! This really looks like a simple pattern to make as well and I agree with lengthening those sleeves, Wayne wouldn’t wear them that way either. I’ve been looking at that Tabor V Neck top too, I love the classic, casual style of it! Thanks for the great packing entertainment!

Myra Lorraine Ugh I don’t envy you that hard work. I hope the move goes smoothly for you and Wayne. I’m glad you like the video and yeah, that fabric 😍. I may look into the Tabor, but I’d have to add shaping, easy enough. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Okay, where to start? 1. Thank you SO MUCH to you and Jack for the incredibly nice job you have done showcasing our fabric! I'm not 100% sure why I asked you and Crystal, I just knew I wanted you two, and I was NEVER disappointed! 2. You are looking mighty lovely, my friend! 3. Jack is not looking too shabby, either! 4. Troy is also not a 3/4 sleeve dude, either. No way! (Unless it's an ACTUAL baseball shirt for actually playing baseball.) 5. I love the shirt, and you did a fantastic job on it! 6. I haven't sewn with this yet; is it too lightweight for joggers for a tall, skinny 15 yo boy? I made Wilson a pair last month, and he wants more. 7. Thanks AGAIN!

Ah no worries hon. We enjoyed it very much. Thanks, I'm feeling pretty doggone spiffy lately, I reckon it's coming through lol. He's definitely the "better" half of everything lol. Hahaha Jack said the exact same thing, followed by I don't play baseball anymore lol. Thanks! I think it might be a little too lightweight unless of course he prefers some cooler (temp wise) ones. I made Lorilei some with French terry and that was fairly thin but she loves wearing them when its a bit warmer. You both are so welcome 😘

That fabric sounds nice. I made the same shirt for my husband. He preferred longer sleeves too plus he wanted a smaller neck opening.

It is! Awesome, I hope he enjoys it. Jack has said the same about the neck, it is a little big so I'll have to correct it on the next one.

I am a 3/4 sleeve person, but not my BF. It's so nice to see some menswear makes ! I love sewing for the men in my life :)

+Andréanne Abel I love 3/4 sleeves. I end up pushing longer sleeves up anyway so 🤷🏼♀️. Sewing for my husband really is a treat for me and one I really love.

Thanks Kathie! It really is lovely, we're just waiting for him to put it in the laundry so we can steal it lol.

Great selection; the fabric.really suits the pattern. Good job. Finding "masculine" knit fabric is a little easier this year. Wonder if the manufacturers are finally getting the message? Found a glen check in a small shop in Montreal....6 meters left on the bolt. Quite an unusual find. It has about 10-15 % stretch. Robe for my husband.

+Nard Ackinon I sure hope so! I really enjoy sewing for him but fabric selection definitely has limited me in the past. Nice find!

A really nice make. A great fit. 😊 I know what you mean about finding masculine prints. My husband is really picky about that. Keep up the good work

That fabric looks gorgeous you can tell even in a photo that it s quality. Shame the postage is horrific to Australia or I may be very tempted. I love a Raglan as I am quite narrow across the shoulder and it saves adjusting plus I hate setting in sleeves lol I've never had a problem with bias but must admit I tend to leave the pattern pinned to pieces until I am ready to use them so they don't get a chance to stretch out. I have the Bellavista by Itch to Stitch on my list that has a cowl I love a cowl too. I'm a 3/4 sleeve as my arms are so short I have to push them up all the time lol
@StitchesSeams5 жыл бұрын
Raglans are such a staple for me too, and super comfy to wear. Yeah I've seen some fabrics on your side of the pond and up in the UK I'd love to get my paws on but the shipping is more than the fabric lol. I may try a cowl again since losing the weight before it always felt like there was just TOO MUCH of everything across my chest, mostly boobs lmbo. I love 3/4 also and my middle girl does too!
