I was awake in owensboro ky that night playing call of duty online about 1 am to 5 am , only because I wouldn't sleep and not could the dogs. But only 1 out of 5 got up even tho we told them to and the sirens were going off for more than an hour straight. God rest the souls that are gone🙏 May sound bad but I just put my headset back in and continued to play warzone and waited til the signal went out and then get everyone to the basement!!! And yes to those that may say it could come from another direction than the cable and or satellite is coming from, I know 🥴 fux it 🤷

I'm a survivor of the 1992 hurricane Andrew that destroyed our cities and towns in south Florida. The deaths and destruction were devastating so knowing first hand the feeling of it all my heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by these tornadoes. Most all humans pull together in situations like this and become stronger and resilient, helping one another in every way and I have no doubt that this is taking place throughout our country. Let's continue to pray for our fellow Americans and give whatever help we're able to give. May God bring comfort and a peace in each heart while remembering those who lost their lives. Amen.

I’m in Eastern Kentucky. I remember my phone going off at 4am and I stayed up until 7am to make sure that we didn’t get it by a supercell. I enjoyed seeing the pickup truck of younger people, probably late teens early 20's, truck bed full of sandwiches & etc to give survivors. They're acknowledging how lucky that the tornadoes missed their town but instead of saying "Whew, that was close" & playing video games, they're out trying to help families in need. Well for anyone wondering, if it ever gets 70’ Degrees+ in Fall/Winter time at night, then that’s definitely cause for concern. All I can say is that during my childhood, a Tornado during December was unheard of. Because it was not tornado season (which is usually Feb-May or something like that for the midwest). Also, snow would have been on the ground by now and we'd have a nice white Christmas. But all that has changed.... the last few years, we probably didn't have snow on Christmas, and the past 2 winters have been probably more mild, and they keep seeming to get more mild. I mean they're predicting 50's in some of the midwestern states (IL, IN, IA, etC). Normally it would be about 25 degrees this time of year and snow on the ground if this was 20-30 years ago. Climate change is in fact a problem, and this is just one example of it. I'd say even over the past 20 years, it's gotten significantly worse. I mean this is sad, only about 12 days before Christmas, and many people's lives have been ruined. Now I can't and won't say this is any one particular person's fault, because it isn't, but it's a wake-up call to everyone that the whole global warming thing, is a problem.

I've lived in Kentucky for 16 years. White christmas's have always been rare. I think we've had two since I've lived here. Also the reason this tornado was more deadly has nothing to do with climate change. It has to do with the fact that it happened, tragically, to hit a factory where lots of people were working. In Bowling Green, where I am, there are some neighborhoods that are just completely destroyed. It is shocking the amount of damage this tornado caused, but I certainly don't think it necessarily has anything to do with climate change.

That’s actually fairly common for an outbreak. In April of 2011 or 2012. A tornado that Hit Wichita Ks (Infact, the path of this tornado was almost identical to two other tornadoes that hit Wichita which is probably one of the only times this has happened. Extremely rare) I believe that night, Kansas had 90+ confirmed tornadoes. I was also stuck on K-15 (highway) between Wichita and Derby when the tornado was ripping through oak lawn. The rain was so heavy the windshield wipers were no help. The wind was so intense and the pressure was making our ears pop. The most horrifying thing was the sound. Imagine a haunted/ghostly train coming right at you. I’ll never forget that. Even creepier? Immediately after the tornado passed, it was dead calm. Hardly any wind. The air was warm and thick. Debris was everywhere and Spirit aero systems (airplane manufacture) looked like a bomb or two just exploded parts of the facility. We were extremely lucky and those types of tornadoes are so dangerous. At night. And covered by a strong rain cloud.

From my knowledge. What isn’t common and Infact I’ve never in my life heard of a tornado outbreak in December. I know Dixie alley usually gets their tornadoes in early fall late summer. Here in Kansas, Oklahoma it peaks at around April and may. But I believe it starts around march - June. Idk if you’re familiar with tornado thunderstorms. But they are truly wicked!! The clouds become a greenish hue. The dramatic change in temperature. It so beautiful in a horrifying way! Apologize for the long comments. But again, as a Kansan we love our tornadoes and our one of a kind thunderstorms. We don’t have much to look forward too 😂😢😭

I was attempting to work the night at mayfield and the weather was treacherous. I mean the car was getting pushed by the wind while driving to there, I luckily was just coming minutes when it was over. Unfortunately it was just beginning of the recovery and sorrow. They're talking about the need for changes to the building code. Checkout the aerial view of Mayfield, KY. There's a group of silos that were also in the path of the storm, they received minimal damage... more than likely because they're round. There's plenty of evidence that round buildings withstand tornado winds. Perhaps we need to start thinking about round houses and buildings in areas where tornados are prolific.

He said, "Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 " In My Father's House are many Dwelling Places; if it were not so, I would have told you some iPhone for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am there you may be also. 4 "And you know the way where I am going." 5 Thomas *said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going, how do we know the way?" 6 Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
