Beautiful tie. I've watched this video at least a dozen times and am absolutely amazed at the skill involved in this. My goal is to be able to tie half as good as this.

Too beautiful for words. Will give it a try but could not quite understand the splitting of the wing. A museum piece.

😅Tremendous. This Wally wing is one part voodoo magic and one part Scandinavian high art. The music added to the intense drama. Enjoyed this very much!

Just an idea for you to try, one day I was trying to find material for the tail and stumbled upon the idea of paint brush bristles.some off of a 4 inch paint brush with whiteish tan bristles. Looks great and ties easily and you get thousands for a couple bucks at the hardware store. Anyway thanks for the fantastic pattern and video.😀👍🙏🍻🍻🍻. Please keep em coming.

I can do all the prep work and the body of the fly but those wings have me a nervous wreck trying to get them perfect at the end maybe a couple of Valium would help. 😂😂😂

Somewhat easy with a size 8. Try it with the size 16 or 18 that we get in the Rockies. Beautiful tie, regardless.

Have you seen the idea of using a glue bottle tip to do the wing watch Barry Ords video on in it really helps

A really nice looking wing. Only constructive criticism that I have is that when you were showing the final stages in how to make the wings, I couldn't see it as your hands were in front of the camera.

Hi SMHAEN, I have watched this video lots of times and enjoy it every time. I hope to be able make the wally wing, but haven't tried as yet. I also would like to know the name (title) of the background music if possible. J.R.

Is your preference Gray Mallard for the Wally Wing over other feathers? Are you using a LAW Vise? Beautiful dressing. I find the wing surprisingly durable upon fishing for Native RedBands. Thanks!!
@SMHAEN7 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry, You can easely use other kind of simmilare feathers as well. The vise is a home made vise. Thanks :-)

nice fly, but they seems to mess things up while fishing with them ;) like spinning the tapered leader tippet and other things :(
@SMHAEN10 жыл бұрын
Hi Meek. If the CDC fibers underneath the wing, is either too short or to few fibers, it sometimes will spin the leader yes. You can awoid this, by cast with less speed. or tye the fly as mensured before. hope you can follow my explanation.

Belle mouche. Mais on peut facilement gâcher tout nos efforts lors de la finition de l'aile.

Cher Dominique Comment est-ce? Je ne sais pas ce que vous entendez exactement
@dominiqueleblanc219310 жыл бұрын
Quand on fini l'aile à la toute fin. Si on la brise, la mouche est inutilisable.
