Finally, the long-awaited tone I've been waiting to see, the sequel to Deathcrush. Correction: Euronymous used a modified 1981 Marshall (JMP) Super Lead head which has a master volume to sound like the JCM 800 and two extra inputs to look like the a mix of the old '59 Super Lead heads and the body of the JMP 2203. Bonus: his Marshall cabinet is a 1960BX cab with Celestion '76 BlackBack speakers and the pedals he used are a Boss HM-2 (his main one), a Boss SD-1 behind the HM-2 (likely to add compression and sustain, instead of putting in the front like a booster), and a Boss DD-3 in the back of the pedalboard for the Freezing moon intro. Request: Can you do a remaster of the Deathcrush guitar tone please?🙏🙏

I run it through the closest thing I can find to a marshall power amp, a 5150 which is modeled after it. Sd1 into hm2 with some very specific settings completely nets it, literally sounds like the album in every way. I can send settings if you want

Yeah Euro had the HM-2 and the Boss Super Overdrive for Deathcrush. There are some pics from the recording where you can see both appearing. Additionally some Boss Reverb for De Mysteriis. I remember having read somewhere that his Overdrive broke down somewhere between Deathcrush and De Mysteriis, so there might be a different Overdrive in that mix. Great video mate, you managed very well.

The smile on ur face as u play these riffs says everything. Try as some might to downplay the DMDS Mayhem riffs, but they'll truly always be bedrock classic and fun for a reason.

Killer again Dev. Never thought Pytten along with Euro and Hellhammer got enough credit for the production. The intro tone of Freezing Moon has the greatest reverb or natural reverb possible.
@DevGohil Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot g, I’m pretty sure it was hall reverb
@blunderless7 ай бұрын
yeah, they used the hall to echo for natural reverb, but used a pinch of digital delay

Hellhammer used Remo Pinstripe Heads on his drums, I think Ebony Pinstripes iirc. Edit: If anyone cares, I thought the drums sounded especially evil.

I was told that picking with your elbow isnt a good pick strat. Pardon my ignorance, but how painfull does your arm become when tremolo picking.
