My aunt showed me this today. My grand uncle played in this game. We have a original team photo in our photo albums. Very happy to see this and see him in the footage. i just remembered him as an old man. Showed me a how big this was compared to the team photo. My grandmother was from Louth and Grandfather is from Mayo. my grandfather now 96 was at this game... told me more about it after watching this. kinda stoked.

There's no way the full match would have been broadcast. RTE only started to broadcast GAA in the 60's.

That was one of the worst decisions I ever saw on a football field by a referee. He should have never been allowed to ref again after that. Disgraceful carry-on to allow that goal. No wonder Louth fans were out of their mind in anger.
