Dermatophytes infect the skin, hair, and nails in humans. Some are transferred from contact with soil, some from animals to humans, and some only infect humans. Glenn Roberts, Ph.D., shares his lifetime of experience to assist you in differentiating the organisms under consideration in your patient’s differential diagnosis. Great job on all of your videos. Which fungus can make your hair move when it invades your hair shaft? The hair also appears to take a reddish (blood red) color? The ends of the hair seem to curve at the end. It appears to be a disseminated fungus because it is invaded hair and skin all over the body. What would be your opinion if you discovered this on yourself?

You and your question are send by the Heaven! Did you get any answer on your question and what have you done? Now it’s one year later and I actually got the same question, it behaves exactly how you describes! Me, my mum and my boyfriend and some people who also got horses as me, are infected by this kind of fungi and our dermatologist is a little bit helpless. We don’t know what it is and how to treat us. Please are still active and please answer me. There are so many possible Szenarios where I catch this dermatophyte, because I am a 30 year old Internistic-nurse, who have got some pets (horses, dog (foster dog from ungary) & 2 outdoor farm-cats… and I am living in a very old german farm-house, and my hobbies are Archeology, hiking and doing all the horse-stuff by myself like harvesting hay. You see it could be anything. I lost all my hair in one week and in the following weeks my eyebrows either. I really felt and feel sick and tired and no human doctor know this disease. Just my vetenarian was helping me as good as he can, so here I am. I need to know what it is and how I fight against it. Please answer me, you are a big hope. May you can give any Tipps or know a medicine. I hope you are were successful and healthy now. Hopefully Greetz from Germany,
