Powerful and poignant, "Mayomi" left me with a greater understanding and empathy for those affected by cerebral palsy. It's a beautifully-crafted film that not only educates but also inspires. My heart goes out to the real people and families affected by this condition. I hope this movie helps to spread awareness and understanding." "As I watched "Mayomi," I was reminded of the importance of inclusion and acceptance. It's a story that highlights the human spirit, and how no matter what challenges we face, we all have a story worth telling. The actors' performances were heartfelt and genuine, and the director's vision was both powerful and poignant. I applaud this film for tackling a sensitive subject with grace and sensitivity. It's a must-watch for anyone who wants to learn more about cerebral palsy and the people affected by it. I cried so much 😢

The concluding part of the movie made me so sad. When our glory will shine, deliberate or accidental death will not take us away. People should stop killing innocent people with their bad mouths. There's a limit to rejection, thereafter it becomes depression.😢😢😢😢

Just the first 12minutes of the movie where a commuter got down because of mayomi and his experience at job interview, I can so relate as an adult with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy. I had a bus passenger discontinued her journey because I was picked as a new passenger. In one of my interviews, the Human Resources Personnel asked me if I was for the interview.... . Great Ọlatunji Atanda

I will always be grateful to my God and bless my fellow…… ONE NIGERIA 🇳🇬 ONE LOVE ❤️, thanks for speaking for the disabled ,thanks for letting us know their effort and what they go through each day ,I hope with something like this ,something will improve in our society …. A very educating and emotional movie, great acting from everyone especially the 'Yomi'. I believe this is a wake up call to end every form of discrimination against people living with disabilities. My only concern is that more research should have been done and the story should have informed us even if it's just briefly about the management of the condition because life doesn't always work like nollywood movies, Yomi has delayed developmental milestones at age 5 and we miraculously saw him walking and going for interviews. It doesn't work that way in real life. The doctor told the parents that he'll prescribe some drugs and they should continue bringing him for therapy, that was very wrong he should have referred them to the appropriate health professionals (PHYSIOTHERAPISTS) who will help manage the condition. This is a big bold step forward though so kudos to all involved
@BabaKamo18 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your view on the movie. We can’t mention the name of the drug because people may start taking the drug without doctor prescription. 2. The doctor mentioned therapy which means he was able to walk with the help of physiotherapists. It will get boring if we stay on that too much
@favour_oyewale18 күн бұрын
@@BabaKamoThank you very much for your efforts sir. But I think that since it is meant to raise awareness about Cerebral palsy, then it wouldn't be boring if we dwell a little bit on it's management. Moreso there are different types of therapy, we need to know which one is being referred to. This is very important especially for people that don't know anything about CP so that they will be adequately informed.
@akinboyewaisrael56618 күн бұрын
@BabaKamo I understand but therapy could mean a lot of things because this movie is educational so it'll be good to avoid ambiguity. Physiotherapy is not the same as Therapy and a doctor can't render the service so he should have asked them to visit a physiotherapist even if you can't discuss it in the movie it'll propel people to search for the meaning and what they do The drugs will only help with spasticity, pain, seizures etc and not motor functions( Functional Movement). You can't mention the names of the drugs but equip the viewers with a clear knowledge of the management.
@salammoshood865618 күн бұрын
So the drugs prescribed makes him start walking proper research should have been done and if it's done then the story should be told in the appropriate manner not that your are making awareness about a condition and you are feeding wrong info to those with the challenges or the people who have them as families

This is the first Nigeria movie that focused on that topic and honestly it a movie that educators, parents and caregivers need to watch.
