If you had told me at the beginning of last year that Metroidvania's would be one of my favourite genres in 2021... well, let's just say I wouldn't have believed you. How times change I guess. Now it seems every Metroidvania that releases catches my attention and ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights is no exception. I've been seeing the game get compared to Hollow Knight and Blasphemous even so, pretty high company and I agree. I loved my time with ENDER LILIES and I truly believe that this is a must play Metroidvania. Enjoy the video!

Perfect timing! This game is on my wishlist for its similarities to Hollow Knight but I wasn't sure they nailed the atmosphere when putting everything together. Now knowing your other reviews I'm pretty sure I'll like this one

I've just finished hollow Knight and about to enjoy more metroidvanias like you said you had to enjoy them lol. Because they have clearly mastered the formula these days. This game looks pretty sweet and I definitely am going to have to strongly consider getting this if I can find it for a good price. Great review.

The genre is down to a science at this point but what interests me most about the games in the genre is their settings. There is so much variety in the metroidvania genre outside of the formula itself that keeps drawing me in for more. Highly recommend keeping an eye on Ender Lilies, seriously this game blew me away! Awesome review, I loved the intro as I’ve had a similar journey with metroidvanias only realising i liked them once I had played the ori games and hollow knight! I’m sold on ender lilies but my worry is that it might be too hard, because I’m stuck on hollow knight because I’ve found it challenging so stopped playing for a while hahaha. Hopefully I’ll be able to manage!

That's awesome! Ender Lillies definitely can be tough but Hollow Knight is tougher so if you can persevere you'll have a great time with this game!

Just beat this a few days ago. Frickin adored it. One of my absolute favorite metroidvanias. I preferred it over blasphemous. Hollow Knight still remains king but this is easily in my top 3 metroidvanias. Cool review mate.

This is a really phenomenal game, for me Blasphemous is number 1, then Hollow Knight (I just love the setting of Blasphemous) but Ender Lilies is a top tier Metroidvania!

man great review I'll definitely check it out. btw i recommend you play bloodstained ritual of the night(if you haven't already). it's made by designer of Castlevania sotn.. the setting and the story and ost are up there..i think you'll enjoy it.

Play Salt and Sanctuary. There's even a sequel coming out next year. Also.. Deaths Gambit is a pretty good playthrough. Deaths Gambit looks very similar to Blasphemous. --- I'm about to buy Ender Lilies on PS5. I was hoping they had a hard copy out.. but they haven't decided yet.

I actually played Salt and Sanctuary back at release and loved it! Might just revisit it before the sequel comes out. I do need to check out Deaths Gambit though, I bought it a while back but just haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Just got this game 7 days ago and its fantastic. I have to agree with 99% of everything you've said! That 1%? Julius is bs. The hit boxes in that battle are poorly done unlike the rest of the game. Attacks that have hitboxes beyond the attack and hitboxes that appear before the attack is actually launched. Julius was the 1 point in the entire game I despised. Although his spirit is worth the absolute bs that his fight is, its pretty strong especially later on when you face a boss that requires the ability to stay airborne for a solid stretch of time to avoid nearly instant kills

I love Metroidvanias man… Is this also on ps4 store? I unfortunately am not part of the P.C master race I am sorry 😣 so I won’t be able to enjoy this game if it’s on p.c only…. I hope it can come on consoles someday if that’s the case.
