Aww weaning can be so bittersweet. I’m currently in the middle of weaning my youngest baby who’s turning 2 on Jan 8th and trust me I am grieving the loss of that physical/emotional connection I share with my son while nursing and just knowing that I can provide food and comfort for him. But I’m looking forward to having myself back. ❤

I’ve been exclusively pumping for 6 months now, which was also my goal and I’ve meet it. I definitely have mom guilt and continue to pump but not in a strict schedule anymore. I’m debating if I want to wean or not. It’s definitely hard work something to be extremely proud of! ❤

I completely understand I told myself 6 months too but my mom guilt wouldnt let me stop! It was soo rough i was over producing but the having to pump and not being able to go out without pumping was soo hard and ny baby just wanted me and it was overwhelming i finally stopped and it was such a relief i was happy! I had my first son formula fed and my second breastfed and they are both healthy boys

Also I completely understand about feeling guilty in stopping breastfeeding. I had to stop after a month because it was taking too much of a toll on me. Without my boyfriend being home helping me I just couldn’t do it. I felt so defeated and felt like a weak mom that couldn’t even do something simple like breastfeeding their baby. But it’s really not simple, it’s A LOT. After hearing so many people reassure me that a fed baby is a healthy baby, it helped me so much. Baby boy is 9 months now, been on formula since a month old and he’s great! It felt like such a relief when I stopped BF to be honest. Felt amazing to put the pump away, not have my boobs feel hard, not leak! Be able to sleep FACE DOWN😂 You did amazing Mayra, you’re an amazing mama, don’t forget that. If it’s time to stop then it’s time to stop! Do what you think is best ❤🫶🏼

have you tooken and medications? I got sick when I was breastfeeding my daughter she was around 7 months and dr gave me this cold medication and it dryed up my supply. I produced so much with my son for the first 8 months then then it decreased and had to give him formula i felt the same way u felt, but i realized he was eating foods att hat point so he was getting good nutrient .

Crazy thing about when you stop pumping the breast milk starts to be salty and baby hates it.i just stopped pumping and pumped once foe the day and tried to give my baby it and she didn’t want it because it was to salty. I didn’t know that untill my doctor told me so I tasted it 😂🤣No long sweet anymore. Happy new years 😂

What I have noticed in a lot of mommas who blog, when they are around drinking they tend to stop breastfeeding. I personally would not participate to be able to feed my baby. To each their own.🤷‍♀️

It has nothing to do with drinking. My pumping journey has been beautiful but also very exhausting mentally and physically. I’m choosing to stop for me and only me.
