Maytag 72 Twin Rebuild

This engine was running but started knocking. The engine was taken apart for evaluation and rebuilt with parts as needed. The crankshaft end play was too much. This was corrected. The magneto and flywheel were hitting causing the knock. The connecting rods were resized and the piston rings were replaced. The wrist pin caps were missing and new ones were installed. After it was together it ran but wouldn't stay running. These coils are often a problem and a new coil, condenser and spark plug wires were installed. It now runs again and sounds great as these engines do. #vintage #engine #old #restoration
