Next songs should be Revive, Adabana, and Rise! They did their 1st US tour this year with 8 stops. I was at their final stop in NYC last March and they are soooo awesome live! Dissension was my gateway song to Nemophila! Great reaction!

Amazingly, they're even _better_ live! This band's remarkable chemistry just pours off the stage. I've seen them twice now, and walked away from both shows with that rare "presence of greatness" vibe. Guitarist here, too...and yeah, Saki and Hazuki are top shelf. The whole band's got superb musicianship.

Not all Nemophila songs are this heavy but they’re all fantastic. They play a wide variety of styles. Mayu is amazing and versatile. She will use both Japanese and English, depending which best suits the expression of the lyrics. I recommend Adabana to check out next. Japanese metal is the best metal. Nemophila and Lovebites are my top two but there are many more. A close 3rd favorite is Hanabie. Try We Love Sweets (mv).

My 2 favorite bands are Nemophila and Jinjer. Nemo are absolutely monsters on stage. They just released a live of Oiran. Oiran was their 1st song and still my favorite. By the way Oiran is a high ranking prostitute in historical Japan. Though Nemophila is a newer band there is insane talent and experience in the band. Most experienced are Saki (guitar) and Tamu on drums, both were big players before Nemophila. Hazuki was a well respected guitarist. Mayu and childhood friend Haraguchi-San on bass were the least experienced but coming out of 2 bands themselves. Note another absolute monster of a band breaking big is Hanabie, give them a go. Any Hanabie song is a good start the classic was We Love Sweets but Pardon Me I Have to Go Now broke huge this year. Anyway guarantee you will dig them too.

Yep, Rock and Metal have their new home in Japan and are in the best hands there. The talent and creativity over there is incredible and imho exactly what these genres needed. For me, the flood gates have opened with Band-Maid a few years ago, who for me are still at the top of the food chain in terms of rock. But in addition I have also found bands like Nemophila, Gacharic Spin/Doll$boxx, Trident, Hanabie, Asterism.... It won't get boring for me anytime soon, and thanks to some of these bands I now even listen to music I never used to be interested in. Yes, they were formed in 2019. Mayu was looking for a backing band for a live session. They decided that the lineup was too good, and decided to form the band. They wanted to name the band after a flower because they are all female. Dissension is from their 1st album, Revive. The 2nd album ,Seize the Fate, was released last December. Next try the official live for either Raitei or Oiran. Both are from the 1st album. For the 2nd album, the MV's for the title track, or Rise. Since you asked, Raitei is my favorite.

That is one way to describe it. You could see that Tamu Murata was also looking for a band too. She did tons of drum covers and then right before she joined Nemophila started doing covers with other musicians. Her drum channel popped up in my KZbin feed. It was completely in Japanese so I had no clue but I recognized that little room she plays drums in the cover songs.

The greatest metal/thrash rock band there is... they kind of are their own genre.... it's unique and amazing, and they are VERY diverse in their genres, while most often being scream metal, they do a lot of other styles also. very very prolific. They also happen to have arguably the greatest, certainly one of the very most in demend, drummers in japan. And both of their guitarists are insanely brilliant.... Saki (on our right) is a metal legend in Japan and was in a major successful band when nemophila formed for a short one off project.... 2 years later, she's left her old band and nemophila is a full time multi album explosion on the world. Formed originally by the vocalist Mayu who was unhappy with her role in a music group, and wanted to put together a one off recording project with the best players she could get hold of. They all loved it so much that they just ever stopped... check their youtube channel to see how prolific they are... the covers alone are insane... like a gazillion of covers... all genres... acdc, journey, foo fighters... maximum the hormone.... you name it, they cover it.. just for their own fun, but they make videos of everything and post it on youtube. and 2 full original albums and an amazing live proshot concert that is being released a song at a time.. check revive (the official music video, and then the live version... holy moly...)

Thanks for the great reaction to NEMOPHILA! My recommendation is "OIRAN" which was performed at the NAON NO YAON festival, because all their music videos are great, but above all, their live performance is Phenomenal. Check out Mayu's potential and charisma in this video if you like.🇯🇵😊

The members of nemophila are musicians from 5 different bands. They are all excellent musicians. And their styles cross various genres of music. I recommend《oiran》live in shibuya next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻

I got to see Nemo a few times earlier this year. Though I am reluctant to choose a favorite, I think that the member I was most impressed with as a musician, was Tamu. She just killed it, whatever each song called on her to do.

Nemophila is a genus of flowers found mostly in the western USA although there are species around the continent. They are commonly called Baby Blue Eyes. The band wanted a flower name so they just picked one with name and appearance they liked. Go for Revive or Oiran for the next song.

Well everybody below has already said just about everything I would say about this amazing band! Super tight super talented, fun, and very very good live on stage! They've already put out a nice rich bunch of music in their 3 years together, so plenty to explore, but if I may I'd like to suggest you would like another Japanese band that's about the same age at this point... If you haven't checked them out have a listen to Saiseiga. A good place to start if you check them out would be the song, "Ride On". PS enjoyed yer reaction!

I did not like screaming vocals that much before Mayu. She changed it all. Loving her voice and Nemophila. They have so many good songs but try "Rise" and you won't be disappointed.
