Just 1 question, if the water is coming from bottom to top, shoudnt' the floss be below then the bio media? Otherwise the water will pass the bio media before the floss, which would clog them up faster. Just an observation. Thanks for the video.

your question is valid, yet you need to understand the biomedia also acts as a mechanical filter and any dead or decay matter comes to the media first and not the floss, if the floss is below there could be excess waste stuck in the floss and cause issues, this said you can use it the way you feel best

Excellent & simple design. Thank you for sharing. One suggestion would be to put the mechanical media before the bio media, that way the bio media doesn't get very dirty and you only clean the mechanical media during filter maintenance & the bio media doesn't require frequent cleaning which prevents the bacteria from getting significantly disrupted during regular maintenance.

Hi sir, i have done the same model but my filter box is under the aquarium not at same height so i added pump inside aquarium for outlet.... My prblm arrived when power goes off.... Yes i know you hav mentioned air controller but what if the house is empty when power goes off n no one is at home to use the air controller....suggest a automatic air controller/one way air valve sir

sir mere pass 40 watt ka pump hai thoo kyaa agar maie us pump ko use karu thoo kyaa muje inlet pipe ka diameter badana chahiye ya nahii? kyuu ki pump power zyaa hone ke karan outflow zyada rahrga inflow se yaa nahi? ...kyaa karu muje samaj nahii aa raha haii

Sir listen na i have a sollution for the air that gets trapped in the box what can be done is u can add 1 more controller on the lid of canister which will help to relise the air when lid is bloten so no need to open the lid just open the nob of controller
