We've just bought one of these in the UK, engine specs are different for us, 2.0ltr skyactiv x gt sport. Exact same colour and interior, we also looked at ford, Honda and Toyota but the interior and features with the mazda just seemed so much more premium. Some people aren't sold on the looks for some reason but i think it's such a beautiful no fuss design.

I've had a 21 since oct of 21. I agree with the piano black complaint. Sometimes in the freezing winter the windows will lock up despite the car having been on and warmed up for a while. Occasionally the keyless entry doesn't want to work and I have to fish my key out of my pocket, it seems randomly intermittent. Ive got the turbo so the tank is a little over 10 gallons, I've got like a 240 mile range on average but I drive mostly city. Besides my minor complaints I'm really loving the car.

@TC_GeosciАй бұрын
@@Ryan.Kooper ohh, STI means Sexually Transmitted Infection, alongside STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease). So, from the perspective of the medical professions, Subaru’s marketing of Subaru Technica International was never a bright idea 😆. Your sentence “dated a girl with an STI” conjured some laughter, especially since you caught yourself mid sentence and changed it to WRX. Dark humor I guess, sorry 😆. Glad you’re enjoying the Mazda3, super underrated car!

Great review, I love that Mazda 3 with exactly that color combo. Two questions: how usable is the HUD, like does it give any navigation directions or has any other features besides speed? Also, did you get to drive the WRX at all? How would you rank the stick feel of the manual compared to a wrx or a civic?

Just got a 23 Carbon Edition sedan last week. Came from a 2021 330i lease and although I loved how that car drove, I didn’t enjoy it. Always an issue-need new tires, need new brakes, need coolant. Hated having run flats in my town with terrible roads. Done a few commutes and a 3 hour each way roadtrip in the 3 and it is terrific. As for the piano black, I’ve ordered the protective film from mikstore. See how it works when I get. I do wish we could more readily get the red dash with the red seats in the US. Have to go premium plus to get it here.

2021 turbo hatch here, exact same as yours inside and out. I hear what you're saying and totally agree. Of course no car is perfect and the gas tank on the turbo AWD models is too small, and rear visibility is abysmal. Those are my only real complaints, (I have only had one rear seat passenger so far and she was small enough to fit fine) and I know both were compromises...but actually worth it

Great review video! I am looking into buying the Mazda 3(Fastback how its call here in the Philippines) in the coming months. Here its 2.0L naturally aspirated and hybrid in premium(no red color - or burgundy interior for 2024) and no manual which is somehow sad personally. More power!

I have the previous model and they are great cars and good build quality. No issues with it and it doesn't look much different to the new model. Just a pity the new model doesn't have a touch screen unlike my older model. The screen is also further away meaning it can't be easily reached for apple car play touch screen functionality . The piano black is fine and holds up well overtime imo
@Ryan.KooperАй бұрын
Our opinions differ GREATLY and thats ok. the older model does look good but nothing compared to this model. The new models do have a touch screen that you can turn on and off but I hate touch screens. Takes your eyes off the road more and less intuitive, I can do everything with the controls without even looking. The older models feel more like an eco box vs this which feels much more premium in my opinion. But I like both hatch models personally
@agustinp767627 күн бұрын
Hi Ryan I want your opinion, I’m thinking to buy my first Mazda. And I don’t know if to go for the Mazda 3 Hatch 2024 o the Mazda 3. It is worth the price difference? For what I understood in my region (United Arab Emirates) they are selling a 2.0L version for the higher trim, the engine is the same for both 153 HP @ 6000 RPM. The price for the sedan is 24k usd and for the hatch 30.5k. What would you do in my situation? I think the only difference is that in the hatch you get the apple car play and heated and climate controlled seats. (Which here in the UAE because of the hot weather we don’t use heated seats)
@Ryan.Kooper27 күн бұрын
Hi, I see a lot of people with the sedans and they love it but personally I think the hatch is a much much better option. The exterior is much better looking while also being more usable. You also get much more premium options I'm pretty sure. Plus I love how the hatch has all the chrome blacked out. Hopefully that helped a little bit!

I had a Mazda 3 of that generation. It was a great car. Rust was an issue though and the engines were Ford motors. I like everything about the Mazda3 hatch except the weird, bulbous styling & super-thick pillars towards the rear & how awful it looks from various angles. I went with the CX-30 instead, since it looks better to me & I've come to love the elevated ground clearance & seating position of my first crossover. It's also my first automatic transmission after 40 years of driving nothing but manuals, & I do somewhat miss the absolute control & more-fun-to-drive-feeling provided by a manual transmission.
