If this system is better than previous I've had I Cx-3 that it is amazing. I had CX 3 in Norway in the winter as a rental. It was well balanced and I've never noticed any slip between axels. Now there is a new CX-8 diesel entering my family. Can't wait to borrow it for a road trip to Japanese mountains. One of the most comfortable SUV on the Japanese market (comparing Japanese manufacturers only).

3:18 interesting that those inputs were no longer necessary because Mazda still mentions them in official i-Activ AWD literature on their website. Maybe that’s just for the SUV’s? They also still mention the 2% minimum torque to the rear.

I hope the high performance turbo model that Mazda's programme manager, Kota Beppu was talking about gets the green light/approved for production.

Come to Australia. We’ve had a Mazda6 wagon since 2002. Probably the best Mazda6 available.

Does this new awd tune only applicable specifically to mazda 3 or cx5 also?

More info about iactive AWD with real world scenario's, driving up a steep driveway covered in snow and ice showing both sides of the car for visuals of tire spin... real world applications for your every day driver not test track sliding most will never do... Fluffy info only angers people :\

Still doesn't convince me the system. Much technology, but it drives and feels like a 2wd, and that's not the feeling you want in a SUV at least.

We are talking about the car here! did you test it like we did?
@subazealand91585 жыл бұрын
@@CarQuestion haha I was talking the system in general. I haven't put my hands in this new 3, but in the CX-5 Turbo. That's why I said the "FWD feeling" on a SUV.
@Crosshead15 жыл бұрын
It might have something to with the fact that it’s a car, not a SUV. The 3 is for people who like to drive. SUVs are for people who need more practicality, dare I say less excitement.
@svenandaas87814 жыл бұрын
@@Crosshead1 I own a 2020 CX-9. The SUV is fun to drive, except for a wee bit of body roll, compared to the car. This is due to the higher center of gravity of the SUV.
