Great video, thanks for sharing. What screen size did you buy? And does the bracket fit straight in the space you make in the dash by removing the stereo and the black tray above it? Also, where did you get the cool little black tidy for the centre console? Cheers!

Hi We have installed alot of stereos in Bongos You need to take a wire from the fusebox to the stereo so it turns of with the ignition. Today I'll be installing another stereo in a bongo will upload a video.

Is that a far infra red heater on the ceiling? I have one as my main source of heating in my sitting room and it's great: don't need any other form of heating on even during this last cold spell. I've just bought a smaller one to put in Vera, my Bongo. I want to put it on the ceiling, she's a tin top, but not sure of the best way to install it. I'm an almost 70yr old disabled woman doing the conversion on my own and it's definitely a steep learning curve! Videos like this have been invaluable to me these past few months, but I'm wary of anything to do with electrics (even though I once re-wired a whole house!)

What a great idea running the rear cam cable UNDER the Bongo and installing under the bumper!! I'll be doing that i think .. Presume you didn't wire it to the reverse lights power, as you used the AV connect switch on the head...How did you secure it underneath and what to? (cable ties??) I presume you avoided anywhere near the exhaust!

Thanks 😊 I ran it along the chassis legs with cable ties through some existing factory holes and it's well out the way of the hot parts 😁 I have it wired to a permanent 12v supply with a switch so I can flick it on when needed as I am going to have a separate monitor eventually, like a rear view mirror cam. Hi mate, that was interesting and enjoyable. Do you get all the kit together when you buy the android unit (camera, cables, and the clip in cover for the front of the unit, etc). Yeah really good. It some times needs a software update like any android device bit only takes a few mins once a year or so and I would prefer a volume knob / wheel over the touch buttons but other than that I can't complain 😁

I’ve got a single DIN in mine at the minute Is there a lot of wiring that needs doing or a straight swap?

With the unit I used there was a connector with just bare wires. All I had to do was join the same colour cables to each other. So blue and white cable from the van, joined to blue and white cable from the new unit. It was very easy 😁 hope that helps 😁
