@Gp2 Engine You might want to take your own advice and do better research. There is no such thing as a Porsche 395. You must be referring to the 935 which was the most successful car in the GTX class of IMSA GT. GTX only existed for 4 out of the 27 years IMSA GT was around. The RX-7 is the most successful car out of the whole 27 year run of the series. Comparing the 345hp RX-7 GTU to the 750-850hp GTX/GTP 935 is like comparing a GTE car to an LMP1. Yet still, at the 1983 24 hours of Daytona out of 8 Porsche 935s that started the race, only 3 managed to beat the fastest GTU RX-7 that had less than half the power. It's kind of pathetic to get beaten by cars 2 classes below you.

In Top Gear's old article when the Stig drove the Furai, it was said the pace would be comparable to what is today LMP2. Sad, because today LMP2 is basically a bunch of Orecas. Imagine how much more exciting it would be with the Furai.

It's now 2023 and if this car came out today as a prototype I wouldn't be surprised. So sad that this car was forgotten. Used to be my favorite car to use on Gran Turismo on my play station portable when I was young. Unbelievable car. Hopefully someday Mazda will make an homage to this car, or some sort of successor as beautiful as this.

The furai only weighs 600~650ish kgs. N/A 4 rotor or turbo 3 rotor would make the car a bit faster. Imagine a kei car with 700~800KW, Its going to be really fast.

Man, did Mazda get this car right or what. This car is awesome. The LFA has got nothing on this beauty. The LFA is impressive car for sure, but I always thought for a Hyper car, it looks soo ho hum overdone super coupe, but nothing special really. This does Japanese hyper car right. It looks like it could eat a LFA for lunch and demolish a New NSX for dinner. That said, Hey Ferrari, you owe Mazda for plagiarism of their shape. There is a Little LA Ferrari in that side vent/scoop Ferrari, and there is more in the greenhouse shape. Mazda should rebuild this car, and make it a reality. I'll take mine in orange and green with white dotted line paintwork please.

Not only that Mazda fucked up the rx8 in 2004 with the first flash not allowing the engine enough oil. That and the care needed to maintain a rotary pretty much killed its reputation and in order to produce more rotary cars Mazda needs 100,000 yearly sales. RIP triangles :(

There is a company here in Thailand called Extreme Kit Cars that makes replicas.You can choose from a VW 1600 to a BMW V12.I'm buying one with a WRX STI engine.300 BHP is more than enough for a car that weighs about the same as fridge freezer ! Don't know if it will beat my Nissan GTR R35 but I looks so much prettier.
