Later around 2016 or 17, Toyota bought a significant portion & stayed sharing tech. Mazda has only seemed to improve from there, as might be expected. A 17 Yaris iA, however, is simply a Toyota badged Mazda 2.

Mazda is a niche product, so having a near-luxury product is an angle that will make more money, as long as they continue to sell cars. Making Mazdas that are just variations of Subarus or Toyotas does nothing to set them apart. The upmarket push is probably smart. The CX-5 we own is much nicer than what you get at Honda for the same money, even if the Honda has more room and higher mpg. The CX-90 is a step up when you look at competitors.
@pgbpro20
@pgbpro20 Жыл бұрын
@@tristana.8304 They are lusting after greater margins - it's nothing more than a cynical cash grab. I believe "in between luxury and normal" is the needle that Mazda has successfully threaded the last 10 years. Their strategy worked -- sales have increased YoY along with market share. They're tweaking it by trying to go more 'upscale'. They've stated so much and their latest lineup proves it.

P0126 code for the thermostat. It's a $400.00 part. A known problem of which the car dealers don't want to mess with. I have a 2019 CX-5 2.5 liter non turbo. The warranty is terrible. Other than that, it's a good car. Buying parts is expensive. Word of advice- Don't give any customer experience surveys if bought new from a dealership. They kept pressuring me to complete it quickly. I did, and things started going wrong with car, like reflectors falling off the vehicle. Then it's crickets out of these people. I have a small shop at home to do the repairs. I have a 2007 Ford Fusion with 330 thousand miles. A rebuilt transmission at 180 thousand miles. It cost me 3500 to fix, but I've got another 150 thousand miles out of it so far. Now thats money well spent. I just repair it and keep going.

Crossovers really AREN’T, in my opinion, SUVs because they’re invariably built unibody, not on a truck frame. Don’t get me wrong, they’re handy, I drive a Mazda CX-5, but I’m very resistant about calling it a “truck” or an “SUV”. It really has more in common with my Ford Escort station wagon from the 90s than any truck!!

Based on your reviews (& others), I just bought a 2021.5 Signature with just under 15k miles. It was orig sold new here in S FL in Dec 2021, and traded in at a local Jeep Dealer 2 mos ago. Got them down to $25k and they threw in 2 oil changes and the dealer's $2k service maintenance package. This model is selling between $28-32k in my area, so I'm satisfied with the terms.

We had a 2011 cx9 that we loved. Unfortunately, Mazda decided to no longer produce the gear for the transaxle that goes to the differential. The only way to properly repair the differential is to replace the differential AND the transmission. What was a nice vehicle with only 60K miles, quickly became a rolling piece of junk that we decided to sell to the garage trying to do the repairs. To say we are highly disappointed and disgusted with Mazda is an understatement. Keep this in mind when when considering a Mazda.

Mazda's BEST vehicle was the MPV, I had a 1989 Mazda MPV, which I bought from my Mom who bought it brand new in 1989 with my late Dad, that finally wouldn't pass state inspection in N.H. due to the crappy solutions they use for road ice, rusting the frame. It had no issues on the Kentucky roads. Aside from the usual normal items that need to be replaced once in a while, tires, wiper blades, hoses and belts, it had no mechanical issues whatsoever.
