I loved how you showed the PIDs live values and explained what are the correct values from your experience. I had this warning on my 2016 CX-5 last year with 14k km oil, but in my case the dilution was around 40 g/L as I have ofter regs that I still did not solve out :(. The pressure oil was lower that the standard at idle, but I changed the oil, the warning did not come back till today (+7k km) The high consultion can be influenced by the MAP sensor full of carbon...

I have a mazda3 with this engine. All your videos are valuable, they helped me clean the carbon out of my intake. I'm currently trying to diagnose my dpf. The warning lights are on, on the application screen, showing excessive build up of particulate matter, but I'm wondering if it is the exhaust pressure sensor. Mine has the new metal sensor, and it was replaced 12-18 months ago. So I'm watching more of your videos, to try and work out if the dpf is actually blocked or the sensor is bad again or the sensor pipe is blocked. You and Kennedy's garage both seem to be the experts on these engines. I think the scan tool might be a helpful tool in my situation.

Hi is that the xtool 7 you are using and can it code injectors? Need to put mine back correctly as main dealer removed them without any identification. Keep up the great content 👌

It is the D7 yes, my one can't code injectors. What you can do is to check the actual numbers on them and check the number with a scan tool coded to the ECU, again not sure if the D7 can do that. Message me on facebook to remind me and I will check it tomorrow.

It is all nice but buying scan tool that is partialy working for the car , never the less that is cheep. For me it is better ti buy scaner that is complete and pay a bit more. Would you be so kind and tell me wich one is cimplete diagnostic that you can se all that there is to see?

I agree with you. But some people prefer a generic cheap one which is understandable as if you go somewhere to get the codes read for you they charge I believe around £40-50 just for telling you what codes you have. So in that case these scan tools are not a bad option. However to answer your question the one I highly recommend and I use it personally is the XTOOL D7. Would there be any chance of using Bars or PSI as the pressure unit. Britain is on the SI system of meaurement not Metric , so Bar would be the usual unit. Thanks. You mention Injector Correction but it is hard to see what the parameters are for a good or bad injector. Perhaps if you could write them on a piece of paper with a black marker pen then we can copy them down as a reference. Enjoy your videos and learnt a lot. Mine is a 2014 67k and had it from new. New injectors at ~50k and just had a decoke, but found the dealer hadn't clipped all tbe harness back as it should be. No harm done but what about the areas I cannot see that have been missed. I would have preferred you to have done it as I like your methodical approach, something missing in dealers today, but no means of contacting you.

Hi Stuart, thanks for your feedback! There would be no point using different units in these cases as the scan tools read in the units I mention so you would constantly need to convert them if that makes any sense. For the injector correction values you should be looking at between -(negative)0.7 to +(positive)0.7 although -1 to +1 is somewhat acceptable. You can contact me via email or via facebook messenger. I have a similar scan tool to the launch one you show only difference is mine has buttons. You can get it to show injector correction values. You need to select the select diagnose function on the main menu. Select the brand I.e Mazda then automatically select the vehicle then pwc you should be able to view the live data from there. It shows a lot more than when you clicked on I/m and selected a module I don’t know why I hope this helps
