The FC was my first car, I paid 500 dollars from it and it blew up literally 2 weeks after I brought it home (20 years ago) and I replaced the motor, started building it... I can't help but stare at them today, much older, much better career, and I do fantasize about finding a Turbo II and living my childhood dream of making a pretty stout street car out of it with a little wide body action. Love your car, cool video of it.

Exact same as me! I bought a gleaming red '87 T2 back in 1997, never got to enjoy it much because it was incessantly stolen and vandalized but I drove it to work every day for years. Still lovely cars and I have a soft spot for them. They were well-designed but terribly built, chock-full of interior squeaks and rattles even when brand new (I rode in an '87 T2 as a young kid and helped modify it into a rocket sled) and the electrical system was a chronic fire hazard :) Still love 'em. Too bad they're ancient and all of them have been badly abused, probably always by the people that stole them.

Mine fc was catching a fire under intake manifold (leaky fuel pressure regulator). Whole vacuum rat nest was burned, now i have other set of vacuum lines but can't figure out which goes where🤔

Maybe I can make a movie from the exhaust. So you can see. Because of no cats the boost went up to 1 bar. And 244 whp on the dyno. It also has a fuel cut defender. Just to be safe.but the car is like this for more then 25 years. And the first 10 years it didn't had a fuel cut defender and never broke down. Sometimes on hot days it did hesitated for a split second once now and then.. when I instalt the fuel cut defender it never happend again.
