I noticed 284,XXX miles on your odometer. Thats good to know! I have a 2004 hatchback with 194,XXX and while running at idle you would think the car was off, it runs so smooth, no leaks, and im consistent with staying up to date on changing the oil so im glad to see yours at 284,XXX.

This is a great video man. I really appreciate it! I have a Mazdaspeed 3 and it works just as well as the mazda 3.

I find 2 major mistakes. First, never use a screwdriver to remove trim pieces and second, disconnect your battery before messing with any electronics because you could fry your ECU if you accidentally make a mistake. I don't recommend you do it his way. I do agree with the process he used to get to the guages in order to remove.

hello change the cluster my mazda 3 2006,but my car does no start, in the cluster appears a key flashing light.
@AlanTech05 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you ever found this out or not but a lot of Mazdas the allowed security codes for keys are stored in a chip on the gague cluster. I haven't taken one apart but this is noted in some places and I think why used Clusters are so cheap because of this. This means if you don't have a key that goes with that cluster the car will not start and must be reprogramed by Mazda with their tools.

On my 3, the headlight indicator light seems to be stuck on, it's lit when it is turned off actually, and the beeper is on too, if I open my doors. Are there electronics inside the instrument cluster that handle this behavior, or is this another electrical issue?

dear Brian I was wondering if i swap my cluster for a one that came from a gt that has the blue illumination and silver highlights on gauges will the odometer reading be the same? and will i activate the immobilizer? thanks in advance. Regards Jon
@Ashquacks5 жыл бұрын
The odometer will be different, as the mileage is stored in the clusters internal memory. The immobilizer should not be affected though as the PATS module is separate.

I am abouth to change mine on my Mazda 3 2004,and i read that we have to perform"Instrument closter configuration before replace it.How was Your cluster function after if you dident do this?
@Ashquacks7 жыл бұрын
Cluster does not have to be configured. As long as you are still keeping the same one and not swapping it it will just plug back in and work as normal.

Is it possible/hard to remove the tpms bulb? I have aftermarket rims with no tpms
@Ashquacks5 жыл бұрын
They are LED bulbs so possible but hard to remove. You could possibly just put some tape over it.
