If you are having difficulty fighting this boss with the Destroyer of epochs set, you should remember the following detail, the boss's set has 30% defense against physical attack while covered in Ice at level 6 (3rd turn). So if you do a crit + paradox combo, you won't get 100% efficiency. Attacking with your shadow abilities until the last moment and using the paradox as the last move will deal much more damage to the boss. Also, the portal trap is pretty good at breaking the boss's ice.

The reason your itu set struggled so much is because you used bad perks. You didn't use precision, and for this fight, impulse resonator is better than time bomb. If you have impulse res, you can start the round with a dash that'll do like 3 or 4x damage and drain like 80% of his health

Yeah, using Impulse Resonator combined with Prepared Strike is basically oneshot

Yeah bro absolutely agree. Impulse resonator is a really effective one. Only catch is to get the timing right for max damage, preferably in the last 10 or 12 microseconds before the perk's cooldown

Honestly this event is too hard, and more so depends on your luck and Set than actual skill. The main problem was never the defense, it was the unbreakability and insane combo - bleeding damage. A Lvl 2 setter like me can't compete with the maze shard unless I land a shock which is quiet a luck indeed. Of course I don't have an Iron Clad set. The best set for lvl 2s by far would be Living Legend that guarantees a knock back which allows u to land a hit on the maze shard. Edit: Well, the Void Warden was funny. Though it should not really work, it's more like a bug.

Just use those set which has first shadow ability recovery like devine judge, lynx set, cotv etc. This boss is far easier than others like stranger, Ragnar werewolf, cotv etc.

Void warden wasn't actually a bug lol. That's how it's supposed to work. The poison effect of the cloud is strong.

@@AmeenRidwan I know it's strong, but in the view point of the Maze Shards ice shield it shouldn't work. Well, the case would be different if it was a player, but since it's an AI it doesn't truly understand that the cloud is affecting it's shield. It should rather be given an immunity or some kind of nerf for only the Bot side.

Dead ass I have been trying to get widows shard to upgrade her set the game literally is refusing to give me that on purpose it knows I need it like I what the actual f is wrong with it wants you to buy more when you buy the first set and you want to level up even if your smart about your spending the game makes leveling up naturally near impossible and widow set is near god level

I actually beat the 3rd round with abdicator lv 2 once but I used overthrow for extra lighting. it was close, beat it while in unbreakable faith. hom should have beaten maze shard if ya used portal more since its true dmg like void wardens smoke

I defeated him using the arrow set, dodged all his ranged attacks and when the shadow bar is full used pegtop, burst, stalagmites, and last torrent moves.. last round is bit difficult you have to be patient and accumulate shadow energy and break his ice bar, dodge all his ranged attacks at any means. Also i used the break perk to restore health as I’m not attacking him directly the energy lost from ice damage restored from this perk

If only Sakura had a bit increased defence, it could also easily beat the boss. I tried Sakura two times on him and even though I succeeded in finishing off his ice bar, he had dealt a lot of damage to me already. So I am bound to lose. Still have 3 tickets left. I finished this boss using 3 sets.. Iron clad, lynx and obviously the abdicator.. I think this guy dont know the abdicator set properly.. It is one of the underrated, if you use correct perks for Abdicator set you could have won..
